My entry is a techno-esque song for an OutRun-inspired game with a futuristic theme involving hover racing cars. FM cover of The Town from Ottifanten - Kommando Störtebeker. I wanted to make an arcade-style cover of this song, so I opted to use the chipsynth OPS7 VST by plogue which emulates the DX7, which I figuered was close enough to the YM2151.

The main synths are all Native Instruments FM8, which is itself a nearly-perfect simulation of the venerable Yamaha DX7 from 1983. Even the "steel drums" are from the DX7!
