i feel a shift taking place currently, where we're all still in flux and the resolution remains just out of reach. for me, in my life and for many others, this shift has manifested as the symbol of the phoenix. while a beautiful time of opportunity, the shift is taking its toll on many of us. personally, i've felt an unease as i feel my former self burning away yet am still unaware of anything defined for me to graduate into. i'm only left to trust, and so i offer this set up to all of us in hopes of it communicating something similar. letting us know we are not alone.

based off what i played for a birthday thrown in an abandoned firehouse. people often ask about the intro: it's off a cari lekebusch record sampled from boogie nights. i liked giving my demo's a bit of flare by sampling in various stuff back in these days. for this particular mix, i brought the sample back at the very end too, lol.

around dawn on the second day we realized the system had gone quiet upstairs. there had been a push to move it upstairs during the previous night. upon investigation we found that, indeed, the upstairs crew had wilted. re-sequestering the system back to its rightful place downstairs, we started up again with this set of mine. the system didn't go quiet again for another two days.
