Eté infini #17 - Gare du Nord invite Marjo

En cette mi Août, les étoiles filantes sont de sortie. Nous avons demandé à la plus scintillante d'entre elles d'illuminer notre gare le temps d'un voyage interstellaire. Pour cet été infini n°17, c'est donc la comète Marjo qui conduira notre TGV galactique à la vitesse de la lumière. "Allo Houston, ici Gare du Nord, attachez vos ceintures, mettez mamie à l'abri, départ pour les confins de l'univers dans 5,4,3,2,1..."

RNT co-head JKriv does it up royal here with a bit of old and a bit of new. On the A side “The Queen On Her Throne” is one of J’s seminal reworks in all of its 8 min glory, and although names have been changed to protect the innocent, a bomb by any other name is still a bomb! On the flip, a lesser known West African 70’s jam by Oscar Sulley & The Uhuru Dance Band is worked up into a raucous jazzy afro-house stomper in “Bukom Mashie (JKriv Edit)” Plus there’s a the stripped down beats-n-synth-apella  of “Queen’s Beats,” perfect for mixing with the OG or played on it’s own!

"BLOW YOUR WHISTLE is the first single from the upcoming M-ROCK album THE COSMIC PHUNK SAGA CONTINUES. The song was inspired by an old 70s funk boogie song also called Blow Your Whistle. The feel of the whole M-ROCK movement is to create something funky, hypnotic with an instant happy vibe. The single also contains remixes by Opolopo ( who mixed the entire album) and Guzfather who also mixed the Video edit version of the song..
