Numatik releases his debut album on Gravitas Recordings October 6th and is a captivating fusion of world, electronic, and experimental genres.  As both a producer and performer, Numatik bridges together the worlds of cutting-edge electronic dance music, soul-driven hip-hop, and uplifting world beat grooves to create a vibrantly charged performance.  This album was created over the course of several years, inspired by inner healing and refocusing on what’s important in life. ‘Inner Temple’ is a beautiful cinematic opening with a beautiful soundscape filled with nature and distant synth, teleporting the listener to an oasis.  ‘Hidden’ builds from the previous track and brings in enchanting string instruments and a downtempo beat slowly building more and more energy. ‘Chi Mountain’ keeps this energy and incorporates flute and other world instruments to keep things fresh and build suspense.  ‘The Journey’ lives up to its name and seems to take this album journey into a heavier and more electronic style; this feels like the doors are opening into something new.  ‘Vessel’ continues this story with a crunchy world beat groove and heavier bass than seen in the album yet.  ‘Trapped In The Shire’ pushed a more trappy beat with very catchy stutter synths while still keeping the world beat roots and vibe of the album.  ‘Cycles’ opens with more beautiful sounds and more upbeat feel, bringing in 808s and making it a heavier groove impossible not to move to.  ‘Beehive Behavior’ brings down the energy into something beautiful, almost feeling like a blend of worldbeat and lofi.  ‘Turning Shapes’ is a beautiful world beat that can be on an endless repeat, always finding a new element you didn’t notice before.  ‘Submersed’ opens with elegant dub stabs and builds into a more energetic half-time beat that blends the line of liquid drum & bass and half-time. ‘Depthing’ has a beautiful piano riff and builds a world beat around it, blending in bass growls and drum percussion for a truly unique experience. ‘The Return’ ends the album with a euphoric arpeggiated synth and piano, epicly building into a chilled out world beat that can only be described as magical.
