Harka - Booty Drop

After a brief hiatus, Off-Switch Audio are back with an EP from Eindhoven based,  Bournemouth born, Swansea raised DJ/producer FKA.SAKA. Already gaining  support from the likes of FFF and Noisia, FKA.SAKA is a definite name to watch  and Off-Switch are honoured to be debuting their first full-length release! 

As a fitting continuum to the deconstructed jungle vibes in Anger, Once Again slows the tempo all the way down to 140 without loosing a single increment of  energy. With a similarly angsty use of distortion and heavy-hitting breakbeat  chops; FKA.SAKA affirms their distinctly powerful sonic identity with this one. 

Finally, with Druid on remix duties, the EP closes off with a slightly-less-angsty  electro-infused flip of Anger. Druid’s zappy electronic percussion slaps through  the sustained remanence of FKA.SAKA’s original composition, laced into a  pleasant backdrop of pads and analogue static FX. In an impressive crescendo,  the track morphs into a robotic 4 x 4 drum pattern bouncing explosively off  donk-i-fied bass hits and shimmering vocal chops. 

The release is topped off with some fitting graphics from 3D artist Ori; as-usual  bringing together the label’s eclectic catalogue of releases with her visually  consistent aesthetics. 

Spanning across multiple genres, styles and tempos, these experimental club  bangers are 100% ready to run at any rave.

Based on Shirley's own double life with one foot in London's corporate world and another in the UK's underground dance circuit, Shirley's EP is inspired by the duality of her life. Drawing on genres such as footwork, UK bass, breakbeat and jungle, Shirley packages all five tracks in their signature playful style that creates her musical world that so many people love to party in. Ten artists from around the world—B E N N, Entrañas, mana, LOBOTOME, 7ip7o3, Mazefromfar, Mon Amour, Tabris, YAWNISH, Yetsuby—reinterpret the track from their own perspectives, resulting in an album that fluidly crosses the boundaries of genres such as Latin core, experimental club, dubstep, and drum and bass.
By inviting artists active in different global scenes to deconstruct and reconstruct ｢Ammut｣, the track transforms and expands like a living network. This project encourages a practice of not passively consuming music but of reimagining, remaking, and sharing it together. It also maps out the global underground connections to which Raw Hearts aspires.

｢Ammut Remixes｣는 Raw Hearts의 첫 번째 싱글 ｢Ammut｣에 새로운 숨결을 불어넣는다. 전 세계에서 모인 10명의 아티스트—B E N N, Entrañas, mana, LOBOTOME, 7ip7o3, Mazefromfar, Mon Amour, Tabris, YAWNISH, Yetsuby—가 각자의 시선을 통해 곡을 재해석하며 완성한 이번 앨범은 라틴 코어, 익스페리멘털 클럽, 덥스텝, 드럼 앤 베이스 등 장르의 경계를 유연하게 넘나든다.
서로 다른 글로벌 신(Scene)에서 활동하는 아티스트들을 초대해 Ammut을 다시 해체하고 재구성하게 함으로써, 곡은 살아 있는 네트워크처럼 변주되고 확장한다. 이는 음악을 수동적으로 소비하지 않고, 새롭게 상상하고 다시 만들며 함께 나누는 실천을 보여주는 프로젝트이자, Raw Hearts가 지향하는 글로벌 언더그라운드 연결의 지도를 그려내는 작업이다.
