"New World Disorder" is the astonishing new single from London based Industrial Metal supergroup, Calling All Astronauts, featuring members of Goth stalwarts The Marionettes, much loved Pop -Punkers Caffeine and seminal Rap Metalers US:UK, often compared to Ministry, Rammstein, KMFDM but their sound doesn’t stop there as they introduce, Goth, Drum and Bass, EDM, Darkwave and Punk, into the mix. In line with their recent singles "New World Disorder" has been mixed by double Grammy winner Alan Branch (Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, U2) In their previous incarnations they have toured the world with The Offspring, The Cult, Sisters Of Mercy, Blink 182, AFI, Less Than Jake, The Dickies and many more, . So far they have released 22 singles and 3 albums, their 3rd album #Resist was released on June 5th 2020 to fantastic critical acclaim. Bolstered by their 800,000 Twitter followers they have had 5 #1’s on Hype Machine’s Twitter Music Chart as well as featuring in many radio charts worldwide, receiving play from BBC 6 Music, Radio X, Total Rock to name but a few. They have made festival appearances at the likes Kendal Calling, Guilfest, Bamboozle, Beautiful Days, Treffen Gothik and more.

Supersonic Media are proud to present “For The Masses” the debut genre busting release from up and coming Croatian born producer Wraith. Marked as one to watch for 2015, Wraith cut his teeth remixing bootlegs of big Industrial and Dark Wave acts at the tender age of 15 in his home studio in the small fishing village where he grew up.  Hugely influenced by the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode, Wraith was keen to put a modern house spin on their tracks.

One thing soon lead to another and it wasn’t long before Wraith realised he had an undeniable talent and started producing his own tunes. “For The Masses” sees him kick start his career with London based indie label Supersonic Media, where he plans to release regularly throughout 2015.

Wraith’s style resonates twangs of many current genres including UK bass, house, tech-house and garage. “For The Masses” skips a cutting beat, meshed with intermittent vocals that build, aided by subtle chord changes that climax in a fully charged drop. The bellowing bass beneath warms the chopped stacatto style Wraith punches. Cosmic arpeggio samples shimmer above adding an exciting chaos to the rigid pounding structure. 

“For The Masses” is released as a Beatport exclusive on 19th January and on general release on 1st February.

In 2000 London pop-punkers Caffeine, were a force to be reckoned with. They were playing shows at Wembley Arena and Glasgow SECC and touring the UK, USA and Europe with the likes of The Offspring, AFI, Rancid, Blink 182 and Agent Orange to name a few, whilst leading a trail of destruction and adoring female fans along the way.  Their breakthrough single “You Spin Me Round” (a cover of the 80s hit by Dead Or Alive), saw them hit Number 1 on mp3.com, get playlisted on XFM, feature heavily on Channel 4’s music shows as well as the ITV’s Grand Prix coverage. Following the huge global support that “You Spin Me Round” received, it came as a real blow to the band when the single never made its way onto the record store due to their distributors going into liquidation the week prior to its scheduled release.  

Fast forward 15 years… Caffeine’s guitarist JJ, now playing in Alt Rock band Calling All Astronauts, mentioned the story to their label boss Heidi at Supersonic Media one day whilst in conversation, and no sooner had he finished the story, release dates were being scheduled! 2015 will see Caffeine making their entire back catalogue availably digitally for the very first time.

Kicking off on 1st March with the release of “You Spin Me Round”. Produced by Julian Standen (Lemonheads, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Smiths) the original Caffeine line up of Alain C. Iovine (Vox/Bass), JJ (Guitars) and Tony Marshall on Drums smash their way through the Stock Aitkin & Waterman classic like the 80s never existed. No eye patches needed on this one, from the first ear splitting guitar riff, its last one to the end buys the first round, and includes a fire extinguisher being played as percussion!!!  What’s not to love?!

The catchy vocal hook is sung courtesy of 19-year-old Karla-Simone. Herself a fresh, young talent about to set the music scene on fire! This, coupled with some classic House piano riffs will grab your attention straight away leaving you with an exciting anticipation for the first drop, which certainly delivers!

The Beat Corporation are Manchester duo Jody Spence and Tyler Daly. They came together to create music with no limitations and to share a common goal, to make music with no boundaries. 2014 saw The Beat Corporation have releases on legendary dance label Champion Records (Robin S, Faithless) and they have now teamed up with Supersonic Media to present their “Slaving For The System” EP.

The EP kicks off with the title track “Slaving For The System”, a melodic house meets electro funk tune with a bass cab-busting groove that you want to hear over and over again. This is followed by the piano meets tech house banger “Got That Thing” which is sure to mashup dancefloors globally and is already receiving great early support from the guys at Kiss. “No Pressure” is the third track on the EP and is a soulful tech house tune with a fat techno bassline. “DJ Dealer” rounds up the package with its driving electro/bass that evokes thoughts of Green Velvet producing Mutant Disco.

Producer Brian Dunn is better known under his pseudonym Dubba Jonny. In 2010 he smashed his way to dubstep superstardom via UKF with his videos gaining over 10 million views. Dubba has now been put to bed as Brian teams up with Supersonic Media to launch his new House / Bass project Matchbox Orchestra.

His debut Supersonic Media release, “Thrill”, sees Matchbox Orchestra team up with silky Mauritian vocalist Thallie Ann Seenyen to deliver a soulful liquid Drum and Bass track that’s sure to gain support from across the globe. 

The package comes with remixes from an array of talent, kicking off with Watford lads Dexcell. Dexcell have recently put their stamp on hugely successful remixes for the like of Ellie Goulding, Philip George and Borgeous. Here they bring their unique liquid drum and bass sound to “Thrill”.

Supersonic Media are proud to present “Anti-Social Network” the eagerly awaited second album from London based alt rock three-piece Calling All Astronauts. Containing their hit single “Empire” (which is currently #3 in the Official European Indie Chart after it hit #1 on the Hypem Chart on the day of its November release),  “Anti-Social Network” is the follow up to their critically acclaimed debut “Post Modern Conspiracy”. It is the result of 20 months  of insane creativity that saw the guys locked in their studio for days on end as they wrote, engineered and produced what can only be described as a sonic sculpture. The thought that they mash together rock, electro, goth, DnB, punk and EDM into a unique genre that is remotely listenable seems somewhat preposterous until you listen to “Anti-Social Network”. The Inconsistent Jukebox is the brainchild of Yorkshire musician / songwriter Barry Snaith. Together with an array of global talent from many creative genres, he crafts music, surrealist human art, motion graphics, dance and video, in a way like no other, which is guaranteed to blow your mind.

No stranger to the Music Industry, Barry, as a guitarist, has previously toured and recorded with the likes of The Ramones, Johnny Thunders, Chrissie Hynde and David Johannsen. His soundscapes have been used for fashion shows, the UK’s first ever digital fiction installation, and much more.

“Bold Ego Fledgling” is the first single from The Inconsistent Jukebox and features Ang Kerfoot on vocals. Paul Kerr, BBC 6Music selector says of “Bold Ego Fledgling” “It’s a stunning slab of gritty, grimy industrial electro reminiscent of the KLF at their idiosyncratic best. From the distorted, glitch guitars to the impassive rapped vocals, it’s impossible to slot it into one of those neat little genre boxes”. 

The video for “Bold Ego Fledgling” was choreographed by none other than Parris Goebel and Request Dance Crew, official dancers to both Justin Bieber and Beyonce and has been quoted as “one of the best you will see this year”.

Liz Cirelli, David Augustin, Richard Brown and Born2Groove provide the remixes on the packaged.

Calling All Astronauts - Are 'Friends' Electric?

CALLING ALL ASTRONAUTS have sculpted a merger of Goth and Electro Punk which rampages whilst pushing the boundaries of band and genre. The highly rated goth punks tear open the envelope even Further with the release of their new album #Resist, out Friday 5th June. The irrepressible trio have launched the build up with the release of a new single and video “Give Them A Leader” mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Alan Branch (NIN, U2, Depeche Mode).
CALLING ALL ASTRONAUTS were born in 2013 and are comprised of David B (Vocals, Programming, Keys, Producing), Paul McCrudden (Bass, Guitar, Keys), and J Browning (Guitar). All three members from CALLING ALL ASTRONAUTS have rich experiences and adventures arching back from their time with seminal Rap-Metalers, US:UK. As US:UK they soldout many established venues such as Koko, The Marquee, and the legendary London Astoria, and all of this was done as an unsigned band. US:UK also opened for such luminaries as Faith No More, 24/7 Spyz and Neds Atomic Dustin. After US:UK ran its course, J went on to form Pop-Punkers Caffeine, Paul joined Goth stalwarts The Marionettes, and David went into band management.
Fast forward to a chance meeting between J and David, and both were excited about making music again. They soon picked up where they left off and everything clicked, resulting in them releasing their debut album Post Modern Conspiracy in 2013. Paul McCrudden then entered the fray to reunite the three-piece as they set to work on their second album, Anti-Social Network, which was released in 2016. To date, the band have released ten singles, six EPs and two albums, and have had five #1’s on Hype Machine’s Twitter Music Chart, as well as having been featured by many radio stations worldwide. The electro punks have played esteemed festivals such as Kendal Calling, Guilfest, Beautiful Days, and have also opened for the likes of Pop Will Eat Itself and APTBS.
