The quick-witted pop these four sport is up there with Deerhoof and Micachu in balancing sharp songwriting with a bright-eyed sense of fun. Bright alt-pop sparks Super Squarecloud last struck a chord on the Bulletin with ‘Godot’, a buzzing burst of energy that couldn’t be tamed. ‘Coffee Talk’ is a more subdued affair, filtering the London group’s twee-isms into a more restrained pillow-rester, brought into formation with deft guitars and sun-gleamed vocals.
