A tribute to CMC

Recorded, mixed and mastered in February 2022

Cawatana, originally from Békéscsaba, now from Budapest, Hungary has been an active member of the international dark underground music scene for more than 20 years, the current incarnation focusing on darkwave/minimal wave with analog synths and drum machines started to take form around 2018. Their song Splintered was written originally in 2012, but it was recorded only now, exclusively for this compilation. It's a tribute to the Hungarian industrial legend CMC - stripped down minimal wave, or even we could say minimal industrial, pounding drums, tight bass synth, rigid vocals, alienating noises, absolving guitar melodies.
