How did you get into music?

I moved to Golden to go to school for engineering, but immediately fell deep into the music scene. While in college, I learned about the math behind waveform creation, vibrations, and eventually music theory and composition while pursuing my music minor. Each new aspect of sound brought me deeper into the fold of creating music and reinforced the belief that music is my life's path. 


What are inspirations for the project?

I often write music simply for the purpose of creation. I love applying what I know of sound manipulation, and between that and music theory, producing music has become an algorithm with unlimited possibilities. I just follow the rules I've taught myself, apply whatever emotion I am feeling at the time, and music comes out! 


What message do you hope to portray through the album?

I wrote this album in a very difficult time in my life. I truly felt that I had lost myself, and in the process I hurt the person I cared about most. This album portrays the process of growing as a person, and all of the hurt and healing that goes with that growth. Healing is not a linear process, and the album has it's ups and downs to match this. "Disquiet" addresses the lingering doubts that follow you through such times. The beginning is mellow, if a little melancholy, but until you let the demons out you won't find peace.
