We are very proud to announce our next guests for our mixtape series. 
This time we have: "Menthe Poivrée."  The Strassburg based crew serves you a genrefluid set with lots of influences from progressive and percussive sounds as well as funky techno and dreamy trance mixed with punchy breaks and bass music. This mix gives you the energy that will guide you through a night full of dancing and surprises. 

"Menthe Poivrée (Pepper mint) - consisting of Ambre, Hunay Saday and ur love affair -  is a collective based in Strasburg, France that wants to bring a little freshness into the local scene. They provide streamings in local venues, have two radio residencies (z.est radio and root) where they invite friends and inspirations and they organise diverse events as well. With their events, Menthe Poivrée brings different creatives together to mix music with vintage, nail art, illustrations or even more. The aim is to create small mental spa moments and to open up the usual binarity between the public and the stage. Menthe poivrée is always looking for new concepts and collaborations, combining the fields of music, audiovisual and aesthetic. The three founders stand for a diverse and inclusive music scene."

In der ersten Sendung von Radio Impuls am 18.12.2022 um 22 Uhr war Patrick (TX4) zu Gast, der sich schon einige Jahre mit der Produktion von (elektronischer) Musik beschäftigt, aber erst im August 2022 seine erste EP Cheerful Mercury | Wide-eyed veröffentlicht hat (https://djtx4.bandcamp.com). Zuerst sprechen wir über Tracks, die ihm als Inspiration dienen und ihn in seinem Sound-Design beeinflusst haben. Anschließend werden wir uns einen seiner unveröffentlichten Tracks genauer anschauen und uns anhand dessen über verschiedene Elemente seines Produktionsprozesses unterhalten. Mit einem DJ-Set schließen wir die Sendung ab.

Bei Radio Impuls geht es grundsätzlich um elektronische Musik. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die Neugier für den Sound, die Geschichte und die Entwicklungen von experimentelleren Genres, die sich an den Grenzen der Clubmusik entwickeln. Im Fokus stehen die Fragen, wie verschiedene Subgenres sich gegenseitig beeinflussen, wie dies mit der subkulturellen Szene, bestimmten Künstler*innen, Labeln und Orten zu tun hat. Auf der Sound-Ebene ist die Sendung damit die Fortsetzung dessen, was die Impuls Crew in Freiburg (https://soundcloud.com/impuls-crew) durch Auflegen und das Veranstalten von Partys unter anderem beabsichtigt: Neugier zu schaffen, um neugierig zu bleiben für andere, neue Left-Field-Sounds innerhalb der elektronischen Clubmusik.

We are really proud to introduce you to our new resident and artist in the roster @heddadelin. Hedda being heavily involved in the bass music scene in Berlin, she always serves you with bangers of the fast and hectic sort to create that kind of multigenre-rave we’re all so down. After joining the @capsule.berlin team in 2021, as well as organising club events and raves, she has expanded her taste to a mix of juke, jungle, hardcore, breakbeat, gabber, trance and dembow with fast-paced drums, hard hitting kicks and the catchiest vocals there is. For her, it’s impossible to stick to one genre, cause that’s obv boring. So happy that you are a part of Layers now #futurelooksglossy
