Exclusive Frankey & Sandrino 'Black Hole' 

Prolific artist duo Frankey & Sandrino are regular guests at the Oberbaumbrücke in Berlin, where they hold a residency at one of Berlin's most famous nightlife institutions, Watergate Club. Now the duo releases their long-awaited and highly anticipated debut on the club's label, namely their 'Nova EP', a four tracker with three originals and a Tiefschwarz remix that is suitable for all the different stages of a flamboyant club night. 'Black Hole' seemingly is the take for the last chapter of the night, a dark yet almost calm but rising synth is juxtaposed with an effervescent line and creates those infamous mental moments Frankey & Sandrino always tackle with their productions. The pads support the lead synth by carrying it in an background-ish manner giving it enough space to enfold virtue to leap into the audience's mind as more and more detailed soundscapes are added here and there to expoit the track's full (sound) potential.

Frankey & Sandrino's EP 'Nova' will be released on Watergate Records on January 27th, 2020.

Exploring Fear & Sadness Part 2 is the second instalment of a new series from Configurations of Self boss Alexander Church once again featuring versions from James Welsh. 

This project is a series of collaborations between Church and Welsh that explore the deeper recesses of the mind through electronic music . Part 2 comes a month after the first chapter and later in the year there will be two further EPs that delve into the theme of PTSD through music and an immersive VR experience.

Church offers a 'Graded Exposure', a darker, more insular techno track with a real sense of pain. The rumbling drums and bass and the melancholic chords all build to a peak that is stripped back but enthralling and filled with sonic detail. Welsh then rebuilds the track in harmonic layers that get deep under your skin and add up to brilliant musical meditation.

As soon as we realized just how serious the COVID19 situation was, all of us here at AEON Towers felt strongly that we must try to do something to help.

The virus had put an end to all live events so putting on an AEON party for charity wasn’t an option. With that in mind we felt we should do something around the label. It was also important to us to involve our AEON family too which is why the obvious answer was to open up some of our catalogue by way of a remix competition, with the winning remixes being released and all the profit being donated to the WHO COVID19 Response Fund.

We were mind blown and humbled by, not only the number of remixes that were submitted, but also the high quality of the music. It made choosing the best ones a very difficult task. We think we chose the best ones though, and we will release the results on July 3rd via Bandcamp only.

To those of you who can afford it, please dig deep and help us raise some money for a very good cause!

A special thanks goes to everyone who worked for free on this project permitting us to collect every cent only for charity!
