Julian Stetter on the remix duties. The cologne based DJ and musician is known for his well thought through soundscapes and intelligent arrangements. Theatre compositions, studies at the institute for Music and Dance - this guy surely knows his business. After releasing his debut album „Sky Without Colours“ last year, he now reworked Jakob Mäders „Sun Will Rise“ into an afterhour track for the early morning hours.

About the artist:
Jakob Mäder is a Stuttgart based DJ and producer who also performs live. His musical interest spans across different genres: ambient, disco, house, acid, and sometimes even techno inspired music.
He plays regularly at Romantica, Dresden Bar and some other bars and clubs in Stuttgart. Together with his crew Midnight Service he organises events with artists such as Johannes Albert, Philipp Schultheis or Panthera Krause, just to name a few.

Ranging from reduced ambient to classic house inspired deep house or experimental breakbeat productions, his output as a producer reflects his eclectic taste as a DJ. Besides crafting his very own tracks, cheerful disco edits result from his artistic work every now and then.

He started his own label Constant Change in 2021.

One of my fondest memories of working with audio is the compact cassette. Be it recording stuff on my 'my first sony,' bootlegging songs off the radio, or geeking out about tape deck saturation. 
Nowadays, audio is always crystal clear, available in high-fidelity wherever there is an internet connection. There is no risk of your walkman slowing down due to low batteries or the tape getting stuck; Pencils are for writing and drawing once again. 

This song is my little tribute to the compact cassette. Old-school melody stabs top its bouncy percussion. A steady low end works wonders in driving the track to its synth solo climax. 

Enjoy this tribute to the compact cassette! And for the authentic experience, you really should record this to tape ( a little too hot ) and wind it up on your old walkman!

A higher plain of consciousness is chartered during ‘Imbongi’, the new collaborative single between Jalal Ramdani and Mr. Silk. Featuring Africa’s majestic vocalist Lizwi, and with remixes by two afro-house heavyweights, Enoo Napa and FNX OMAR, this compelling single gets a long awaited release on BLOND:IDSH’s ABRACADABRA label. The imbongi, in African tradition, is a composer and orator of poems praising a chief or other figurehead, and on this fresh production, positive musical magic is teased from every pore, as Ramdani and Silk’s hypnotising production lets Lizwi’s vocal soar high above the transcendental groove. Speaking about the collaboration, Jalal divulges “Imbongi came about when myself and Silk were running afro-house events in London during the end of 2019, so the idea of a collaboration surfaced in between these events. The goal was to showcase a track where we blend the modern groove of house music with the traditional touches of our African heritage (I was born in Marrakech, Morocco and Silk has origins from Africa). We made it in my London studio in June 2020 during lockdown. It was done quickly, 3 to 4 days really, as there were no distractions due to lockdown” Remixes come courtesy of Enoo Napa, who has impressed via previous releases and mixes for Madoradindahouse, King Street Sounds and Go Deeva Records, and also a version from FNX OMAR, whose credentials include remixes for Stereo Productions, Spinnin’ Deep and MoBlack Records.
Jalal Ramdani has also released music on Madoras, Wired, Connected and Moblack, and has recently completed a tour of Latin America/Art Basel, including the legendary BPM festival.
