Last year Rebirth Records celebrated 10 years with the release of the acclaimed compilation selected and mixed by Larry Heard. We are now happy to present 'Rebirth 10 Remixed': a special collection, available on a limited 2x12” vinyl edition, and three digital parts, including brand new versions of some of the classics of the label in the first ten years.

The first part includes remixes from Red Axes, Rampa, Modular Project and VVV. The hot Tel Aviv duo Red Axes bring their trademark new wave sound to a tropical dimension remixing Robytek's 'Luna Africana' combining unusual melodies of bells, chimes and perc drums. The Keinemusik boss Rampa is back with a killer remix of 'Deep Musique' by Pasta Boys Feat. Osunlade, definitely another dancefloor peak time cut on Rebirth. The italian duo Modular Project add their electronic-balearic touch to the Blond:ish vocal anthem ‘Wizard of Love’, while the misterious bass producer VVV reworks another classic on the label, ‘Crossroads’ by T-Polar, giving us a sublte but heavy deep and futuristic synth work. 

The cover sleeve is a work by Emil Schult, who has created a painting especially for the Rebirth's Anniversary. Emil is known for his work with electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. Schult's collaboration with founders Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider saw him actively involved in writing lyrics as well as generating the design for some of the band's most famous covers.

Hailing from Halle/Saale, Germany, Felix Thielemann and Mathias Schwarz AKA Super Flu are unquestionably one of dance music’s most unique acts. ‘Musik 3+’ provides a dazzling selection of remixes that add a new, dance floor focused dimension to Super Flu’s highly successful original album and shows not only how well connected the pair are to dance music’s most prominent luminaries but also how prolific the Super Flu boys are (in 2016 alone, the pair played 120 gigs around the globe).

In this release, he expertly mixes hypnotic and ethnic sounds with tribal-house and downtempo elements. Amine K contributes two exclusive remixes of “Persian Desert“. He creates a connection on the dancefloor with a melodic story and organic rhythms. The EP is rounded off with a remix by Collé - an artist to definitely keep an eye on. “Sulaika“ enchants with traditional percussions and nostalgic vocals, inviting you on a rhythmic journey of sound.

In dieser Produktion mixt er gekonnt hypnotische und ethnische Sounds mit Tribal-House und Downtempo Elementen. Amine K steuert zwei exklusive Remixe von „Persian Desert“ bei. Er schafft eine Verbindung auf der Tanzfläche mit einer melodischen Geschichte und organischen Rhythmen. Abgerundet wird die EP mit einem Remix von Collé. No stranger to the dancefloor and festival scene, Elif brings her vision into sounds and words to present "Moonspell", her first offering to A Tribe Called Kotori.

With huge early success as an international music blogger, fresh talent Istanbul-born Elif covered all the main festivals as a writer until, after teaching herself music production and mixing, she swapped ligging for gigging four years ago as a DJ. As a producer, her first release on Anjunadeep (2019) made her an instant favourite, and during lockdown she’s reached her listeners’ hearts with livestreams both melodic and profound and written new material – soon to drop on Stil vor Talent and of course this debut EP on A Tribe Called Kotori.

Stepping it out with a solid groove is "Bamboo Forest", an anthemic tribal sojourn, a collaboration with Sanoi. Power up with its raw percussive beats and swing those hips to the resonant flow of this chunky track.
