We expeditiously enter a new decade and present a solid compilation with our favourite homebase artists. Our musical collective now includes a worldwide network of independent producers. Their different cultural influences are manifold reflected in the second part of "Wout Stars". From expressive, bass-guided, drum-emphasized tracks to multi-layered melodic compositions up to state-of-the-art electronic music. Some tracks are designed for the dancefloor, some for after hours and some just for deep listening. An enveloping companion for all aspects of life. We love this complexity of sounds, feelings and thoughts; a classic figurehead of our label.

Estanislao López, better known as Stanis, is a dj / producer born in Córdoba, Argentina. His style mutates between melodies and rhythms inspired from techno to deep house. He began his career as a musician in 2010 playing different varieties of musical instruments and going through different genres that were forging his way until in 2017 he began DJing as a DJ in the province of Córdoba and by mid 2018 he ventured as a producer.

DHS Premiere: Stanis - Fractal

"Fractal Architect is the artist name for the DJ and producer Dan Watts from the UK. A veteran electronic music aficianado who was one of the early pioneers to usher in the 'new sound' from Detroit and Chicago in the late 1980's. Honing his skills as a DJ firstly through warehouse parties and illegal raves, then secondly through successful club residencies and as a promoter, Dan has borne witness to the development of dance music culture in the UK and Europe over the last 25 years. The last years Fractal Architect is making name in the Progressive House & Melodic Techno scene with signings on many high profile labels such as ICONYC, Movement, Dear Deer, Awen, Steyoyoke, Inner Symphony, Manual, KDB and Cinematique.

So needless to say that we are more than happy for his debut on Chrom Recordings with not less than 3 original tracks! This 3-track EP is called "Red Shift" and the title track is an energetic progressive house an them with a very powerful bass line. The second track "Simulacrum" is a bit deeper with some very compelling melodies, and last but not least the third track "Scorched Earth" is a beauty: really atmospheric and intriguing!"

The upcoming Wout release, composed and written by Alenor, reaches us with exactly the same energetic force as the sunrays of these days. With his "A Leaf Above The Clouds" EP we are enchanted and touched both emotionally and technically. The title track "A Leaf Above The Clouds" is accompanied by choir-like voices, extended basslines and accurately positioned drums. Here classical structures are used, from slow build-ups to a rousing climax. Convinces us completely.

Dystopian Desert is the first studio album from Lisbon’s very own DJ and producer Madd Rod, released on 31 July 2020 by his imprint Inner Shah Recordings. Part a tribute to his roots, part a promise for the future: the album is the product of years of growth and appears as a solid approach to what some could call “Desert House”. After years developing his sound, the artist sets a statement in this adventure as a storyteller, exploring different melodies in the Arabic scale in a gamut of ambient and club-ready tracks inspired by arid landscapes. Rod expertly makes use of live guitar jams recorded by Azul (Duarte Igreja) to add a real element to the otherwise fully electronic compositions, adding a twist to the Melodic House and Techno the artist had released previously. To add to the uniqueness of the 12-track album, the artist challenged the talented Rita Morais to oil paint her vision of the album on a square canvas that ended up as the artwork to this eclectic, mystic and exotic sound experience.
