Der Sommer ist endlich da und mit ihm die 6. EP auf Deep Stories Records. Für die sommerliche Brise der EP ist der Italiener 2wes verantwortlich, welcher bisher überwiegend progressivere und düstere Tracks produziert hat. Doch der in Rom lebende Produzent möchte sich ungern auf einen Sound reduzieren lassen und tüftelt immer wieder an Projekten, welche die Genre Grenzen überschreiten. So auch geschehen bei seinem Track San Antoni, welcher den Auftakt in diese EP bildet. Verträumte Synthesizer Melodien und ein verspielter Bass bilden die Grundlage von San Antoni. In den Breaks wird das Maintheme dann durch eine Gitarre aufgegriffen und verleiht dem Track seine charakteristische Leichtigkeit.   
Der Remix von Luke Tolosan macht den Track mit seinem groovigen Bass dynamischer und dadurch treibender. Dadurch entwickelt sich San Antoni zu einem perfekten Open Air Track der Ibiza Feeling versprüht und bei keiner Party am Strand fehlen darf.

Summer is finally here and with it the 6th EP on Deep Stories Records. Responsible for the summery breeze of the EP is the Italian 2wes, who has so far produced mainly progressive and gloomy tracks. But the Rome-based producer doesn't want to be reduced to one sound and is always working on projects that cross genre boundaries. This is what happened with his track San Antoni, which is the prelude to this EP. Dreamy synthesizer melodies and a playful bass form the basis of San Antoni. In the breaks, the main theme is then taken up by a guitar and gives the track its characteristic lightness.
The remix by Luke Tolosan makes the track more dynamic and thus more driving with its groovy bass. This makes San Antoni a perfect open air track that radiates Ibiza feeling and should not be missing at any party on the beach.

Erdi Irmak is simply one of the most eclectic producers in the modern deep & melodic scene. The XYZ faithful will have grown fond of Erdi’s work on the imprint thus far, appearing on each of our Oppo projects and presenting a delightful EP earlier this year called Driftwood. As another soaring summer comes to a close, we breathe new life into the Driftwood project with a set of riveting remixes.

Leading the line is Brazilian multi-instrumentalist & producer Maty Owl, who has caught the attention of global dancers through sensational projects with Saisons & Timeless Moments. He takes the reins on I Can Find, crafting a deep groove through swirling synthetics and a revolving bassline. He twists Amega’s vocal chops seamlessly, utilizing them as harmonious elements while the instrumental arrangement takes aim straight at the dancefloor.

Niki Sadeki makes her long-awaited debut on XYZ with her rendition of Rainflow. The Canadian producer & DJ has built deep roots in the scene as a radio host and event organizer, and it’s a pleasure to have our compatriot on the imprint for the first time. She brings an afterhours flavor to her remix, as a signature hook ebbs too & fro while crisp drums blissfully balance the space.

Closing the project is Montreal’s Laure, who remixes I Can Find. She allows Amega’s vocal performance to shine over an easy-flowing groove. They bring incredible instrumentalism and a chilled-out ambiance that feels perfectly at home with Erdi’s original work.

Sie wird einem gegeben und genommen, dreht sich im Kreis und läuft doch immer vorwärts, ist im selben Moment unerträglich lang und dennoch verfliegt viel zu schnell. Sie bestimmt unser Leben und ist doch ein mysteriöses Ding.
Viele Eigenschaften der Zeit treffen auch auf unsere neue EP „Mystery“ zu. Von dieser EP kann man auch nicht genug bekommen und die Tracks scheinen im ersten Moment sehr lang zu sein. Vor allem der Original Mix vom Düsseldorfer Tim Kollberg nimmt sich Zeit, um die Intensität behutsam aufzubauen und beständig steigen zu lassen. Dennoch ist der Hörgenuss gefühlt zu schnell wieder vorbei, da die einzelnen Elemente perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt sind und es im Arrangement ständig etwas Neues zu entdecken gibt.
