Rounding out the month of November Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes Giddyhead back to the label for a new artist showcase. Born and raised in Argentina Cezar Lopez aka Giddyhead emerged from his country's avant-garde electronic music landscape in 2013. Noted for his seductive grooves inventive soundscapes and meditative drum arrangements Cesar's craft shines through vividly making each one of his creations a memorable journey. On the strength of early releases for Sound Avenue affiliate Crossfade Sounds Giddyhead earned the praise of Hernan Cattaneo and was touted as a name to watch going forward. Subsequent projects via Balance Music Traum and Sound Avenue across the next four years further cemented the Argentine's knack for creating deeply immersive organic music a sound which would lead to a career highlight in 2019 as Giddyhead partnered up with organic house star Oona Dahl for a release on UK behemoth Anjunadeep. It was Sound Avenue however which would serve a primary home for the Buenos Aires resident with eleven discography credits across a nine-year stretch. Now following a near five-year production hiatus Giddyhead makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a four-track showcase entitled 'Jitter Prompt'.

About : 
CASOMAT008 is titled 'Eleven' and consists of three heartfelt originals by French producer Pontias (AKA one half of Jules & Moss) plus a heady remix by Voon (Diynamic, Running Back, AZZUR).

Although the track names (e.g. 'Eleven' and 'Where The Weird Things Are') might lead you to think otherwise, the EP is in fact not at all related to Stranger Things! In actuality, the inspiriation (and indeed the source of some of the sounds sampled) come from Pontias' ties to a climate research center in his hometown of Saint-Étienne.

Alongside his studio arsenal of Moog, Prophet, Nord and Elektron gear, Pontias used his time in research & development to record some of the rich textures and industrial sounds heard in the large-scale laboratories frequented by his fellow engineers and PhD students. The combination of these sources, paired with Pontias' obvious aptitude for melodies and rhythms, result in a wonderfully complex sonic palette full of infectious glitches, sweeping pads and satisfying bleeps.

All three originals on the EP consequently pay homage to the industrial legacy of Saint-Étienne and Pontias' extensive journey within the MINES research center as it transitions from its roots in the mining industry to a contemporary intersection of environmental and digital technology.

Italian producer Voon takes the key melodies and sounds from 'Eleven' and layers them over punchy drums and a driving arpeggiated bassline, resulting in a version perhaps more suited for the peak-time club hours. Cleverly placed drum fills and sweeps demonstrate Voon's knack for arrangement, and he does a brilliant job of taking the track into a different context while still staying true to the elements which make the original so special.
