It was morning, bright and calm, with no sign of the deluge that had taken place the previous night. The sun was still low in the sky, but Robot City was alive and active. He was in the very heart of it here, the hub upon which the wheel of the city turned. He could see the aqueduct that had brought him cutting through the city like a spoke, and he could see other aqueducts, other spokes, slicing through the wheel of the city. And he began to think of the areas between the spokes as quadrants. Robots in large numbers hurried quickly through the streets, always going somewhere, always busy with predetermined tasks. Many of them were disappearing into the treatment plant. He moved a small distance from his exit point, then looked back at the reservoir, shocked to find a forest there! Solway is coming straight from the heart of tomorrow land. This is his first offering for Shango Records. This track can leave a smile in every face. Magupi and Solar Kings came from the land where trees are made of poetry.

There was one thing to be done before I left, an awkward, unpleasant thing that perhaps had better have been let alone. But I wanted to leave things in order and not just trust that obliging and indifferent sea to sweep my refuse away. I saw Jordan Baker and talked over and around what had happened to us together and what had happened afterward to me, and she lay perfectly still listening in a big chair. She was dressed to play golf and I remember thinking she looked like a good illustration, her chin raised a little, jauntily, her hair the color of an autumn leaf, her face the same brown tint as the fingerless glove on her knee. When I had finished she told me without comment that she was engaged to another man. I doubted that though there were several she could have married at a nod of her head but I pretended to be surprised. For just a minute I wondered if I wasn’t making a mistake, then I thought it all over again quickly and got up to say goodbye. Filmus takes a deep breath and dive into the waters of freedom. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can help you take the road to sirens kingdom. Jon Sweetname, Richard Elcox & Matija and Sevn (CA) are the sailors in the sea of broken dreams and red roses.

Our latest release is a three-track EP from Prismatica who is a Mexican artist returning to Baikal Nomads following the success of his solo release on the imprint in 2019. This much-anticipated follow-up blends the melodic progression of trippy synths with crisp percussion and deep atmosphere.

Trademark to Prismatica's style, the downtempo grooves are stripped back and techy with mesmerising atmospherics that is full of suspense. He has also been featured on other labels like MONADA, Shango Records, FrequenSeed Music and Kosa.

Demian Lara aka Prismatica is based in the town of Tepoztlán and has also released other styles of music under the aliases cirQular, DJ Sáeg and Pro.tone. He plays regular DJ sets in Mexico under his various aliases and has also travelled internationally to play events in places such as Europe and South America.

"Interval" opens the release with vocal textures and organic percussion that intermingles with a lurching bassline and synth stabs that are washed in reverb.

"Instinct" has a twinkling textures and dramatic chords that intertwine with ethereal vocals to create a compelling atmosphere that's underpinned by flowing percussion.

"Iridiscent" has an uplifting mood with shimmering melodies and dreamy synths that create a soothing atmosphere with a groovy bassline that provides forward momentum with the help of shuffling percussion rhythms.
