PREMIERE: Michael Ritter - Ont (Felix E Remix) [Grey Bar Hotel]

IKARIUS make their highly anticipated return on Manual Music after their label debut last December when they dropped their well received 'Hosa' song (a collab with Askvll) on the Manualism XIII compilation. The French duo have been making some serious waves with their releases on Stil vor Talent, Monaberry and of course the Ritual label they've founded together with Rafael Cerato.

'For You' and 'Machine Walk' both truly represent the sound of "now". Raw synth work with rugged electro-like basslines and clever hooks make both of them tunes to remember. What's your favorite?

'Atlantida' is the brand-new throbbing club burner from 'Two Sins'. Whether it's the deeply delicious uplifting melodies and dramatic strings of 'Atlantida', there can be no denying that the Two Sins is on a roll. His distinctive style and attention to detail marks him out, as having unique creative talent. For the full-length release, we are treated to stunning reworks from non-other than Marius Drescher & Schwarzmatt. We kick things off with original track, which brings a fusion of deep bass tones, subtle drum programming and cleverly chopped samples and intricately weaved chord progressions, building to a beautiful breakdown before gradually rebuilding the elements to an unrelenting crescendo of breathy drum licks, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline to close out this massive production. Cool stuff! First up on remix duty we see the debut of Berlin maestro Marius Drescher on ICONYC. He delivers a blissful sound journey, oozing of coolness, accentuated by warm pads that feel like a silky blanket of sonic spheres, which wrap you into an alluring soundscape without losing the energy of the original. This excellent rework firmly proves Marius's superb production chops and diverse musical tapestry, if prove was ever needed. Absolute massive remix from Marius Drescher that should not be missed! The second remix comes from Swiss production combo Schwarzmatt whose releases have been doing the business on the dance floors of the world. Their remix flows with ease from the instant it starts, encapsulating a wealth of cool beats which are present throughout, as well as driving sounds that are met with a big low end creating a timeless bubbler that will make you move. Schwarzmatt have taken the essence of the original and wrapped it in a blanket of progressive grooves to cause havoc with your senses. Starting off the bunch of releases under the name “Save the Night”, the 4-track Ep titled “Moments” refers to those times where we would dance through friday nights. The first track “Rom” by Monkey Safari puts you in a foggy afterhour vibe around 6 am. A relentlessly playing guitarloop and trippy vocals are playing over a minimalistic drumset. ”Midnight Sun” is track #2. A dramatic masterpiece brought to us by the duo Avidus, providing their signature mix of carefully selected percussion elements, haunting melodies and goosebumps. Philipp Harms takes care of track number 3 and melts a harmonic synthesizer jam with a broken beat which takes you on a journey through your deepest dream states. Last but not least Rauschhaus finishes off the EP with a progressive house banger. “Leucosia” is a 7 and a half minute journey designed to drive dancefloors into a state of ecstasy. Die Tracks kommen von Freunden und Familie des Clubs und wurden zur Verfügung gestellt, um die finanziellen Einbußen, die aufgrund der andauernden Covid-19 Situation entstanden und weiterhin entstehen, etwas zu kompensieren. Die Compilation beinhaltet Songs von Künstlern wie Monkey Safari, Till von Sein und vielen anderen Künstlern, und wird häppchenweise in Form von EPs mit jeweils 4-5 songs veröffentlicht. Kauf diese Compilation und rette wortwörtlich die Nacht sowie eine der ältesten Institutionen der deutschen Clubszene.

After almost 20 years of club business and countless nights of dancing under mirror balls, Luna Club, which is based in Kiel, brings together a selection of music from its family and friends, to make up for the financial losses due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. The whole compilation features songs by artists like Monkey Safari, Till von Sein and many more and it will be released in parts with 4-5 tracks on each output.
