Our "Elements" series returns for it's third edition. We've invited four artists that may be familiar to many, as they've been making great strides in their musical progress. Please welcome Julian Nates, Kenan Savrun, SAJAY & Rudra for their Juicebox Music debut appearance.

First up is Julian Nates, an Argentinian artist based in Córdoba. At a young age of just 4 years old, Julian embarked on his musical journey through traditional violin, piano & drum lessons, eventually developing an interest towards electronic music when he reached the age of 23. Honing his skill & style, his music quickly got picked up by Framewerk who gave him his first official release in 2017 on their label - Capital Heaven. Since then, he's had the privilege of having his music released on well respected labels like Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden", Antrim's "Or Two Strangers", Juan Pablo Torrez' "Clubsonica" & Mango's "Mango Alley". Julian gracefully enters into Juicebox Music with 'Entropy', a bouncy low-end groove paired with a memorable melodic riff & interspersed chord stabs. 

Kenan Savrun from Ankara (Turkey) is up next. Building his career through the early 2000's, Kenan's DJ sets have gained him incredible local support where he's earned to share the stage with Nick Warren, Cid Inc, GusGus, Budakid & many more. Although he's relatively new to producing music, Kenan has seen world-wide support through his formative releases on Ziger's "Eat My Hat", Tash's "Movement" and Chris Cargo's "If You Wait". Known for creating airy atmospheres, deep grooves & rhythmic melodies, Kenan takes those key characteristics into overdrive while presenting 'Sanguine'. 

Hailing from Colombo (Sri Lanka), SAJAY burst into his local scene in 2018 thanks to a vibrant sonic palette that bends the boundaries of contemporary genres. Drawing inspiration from his Sri Lankan roots and his childhood in Kenya, SAJAY's productions have garnered incredible support from renowned artists around the world as well as labels like Tripswitch & Steve Marx' "onedotsixtwo" as well as Mango's "Mango Alley". Sharpening the skills & getting more refined each day, SAJAY's 'Subterranean' is a testament to his growth as a producer, showcasing power & quality through patience & subtlety. 

To close the third edition of 'Elements', we've come back home & called in Kolkata (India) based - Rudra. His rise-to-fame came through 'Lakshya', an album that was released on "aboriginal" which displayed his exquisite production & songwriting skills. After being a seasoned producer for nearly a decade, he moved away from his previous sonic-avatar to reinvent himself in a more deeper & melodic space. With a gorgeous release on Madloch's "Future Avenue" to kick-start this new sonic story, which also features a downtempo edit via his Vichitra alias, Rudra's vision seems to be set on the right path. We're thrilled to welcome him to the Juicebox family with his single - 'Vichlit', a perfectly balanced contrast between heavy & dark versus ethereal & cosmic.

Nik Nazarov — Macros (Original Mix) [Suprematic]

Francesco Pico shows us a first glimpse of his fourth artist album by releasing episode 0 of 'Perpetual E-Motion' on his newly found Magnitude Chill label, bundling the ambient and downtempo songs all together.

Keep an eye out for the next episodes, as the dancefloor tracks will be released on his Magnitude Recordings label, two at a time.

Eventually all 'Perpetual E-Motion' songs will be connected and released as a continuous piece of music.

As winter takes its last breath in Montreal, we revisit the latest Quebecois artist to grace XYZ - Monarke. The Edge of Reality EP launched earlier this year to a hearty reception, and we follow it up with a set of remixes brimming with innovative energy.

Jessica Zese’s vocal performance on Otherside forms the backbone of the project, offering the centerpiece that sews the thread between these four tracks. Her balance of emotive power and soft prose make for memorable dancefloor moments and crucial character for the remixing artists. 

Russia’s Nadya has crafted a sturdy brand of techo-leaning sounds through projects with Natura Viva and Stil Vor Talent, and she kicks things right into gear with her take on Otherside. A revolving bassline and tripped out vocal stabs ebb and flow, with fluttering melodics filling the high end. Dancefloor bliss!

We are extremely excited to welcome the legendary German producer / dj Robert Babicz to Stripped Recordings, Robert who now resides in Malta needs no introduction, as an artist he has been redefining the boundaries of electronic music since the early 1990s. This one man machine has graced some of the worlds biggest labels and his works supported by the very best of electronic scene's tastemakers over three decades. Here he presents us with a throbbing 303 laden, 110bpm Acid Trip Edition of Moojaa and (our very own label boss) Norman H's track "Hidden Depths". This glorious spaced out epic is layered with witch doctor vocal samples is a full on heads down, eyes closed, hands up experience lasting just under ten minutes.

Through a unique blend of rhythm and melody, Izzet has continued to carve out a name for himself since a 2014 debut for NewBorn Records and subsequent work for Liquid Grooves and Clinique Recordings. A debut for the "Winter Particles 2018" compilation began a series of impressive releases for the label, most notably in 2019's "Summer Goodbye" EP. Remixes for Pole Folder and E.F.G. have continued to showcase the Russian artist's production skills as he now returns with the twin-track, "Abstract Distortion" EP. The title track immediately impresses with its pounding beat and rolling groove while an emotive chord progression drifts across the mid-range with ease. A counterpoint motif then lilts enticingly atop with reverse-layered synth passages and subtly distorted effects providing a sprinkling of stardust. A strong bass groove adds to the classy feel as it opens up in the third movement to create a triumphant return to Particles. Partner track "Farsi" continues the narrative of heavy beat, while a stunning, head-shaking groove paves the way for a dominant bassline to play its part in menacing fashion. Building in relentless fashion, smooth pads hypnotise while barely-heard, subtle melodic touches add to the gloriously oppressive vibe.

Rising to the forefront of the underground dance scene with ease over the past two years, Kamilo Sanclemente has found his music regularly hitting such high-profile labels as The Soundgarden, JEE Productions and Anjunadeep. A regular on both the Proton Music and Particles imprints, the "Revelations" EP marked an impressive debut for the latter in 2017, followed by "Eva" in 2018. Similarly, Mauro Aguirre, has found himself on the likes of Clubsonica Records and Balkan Connection before joining forces with Sanclemente for releases on Hope, Manual Music and onedotsixtwo. Coming together for a Particles debut, the Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre remix of "Abstract Distortion" combines a glorious South American percussive vibe with bulging bassline groove and syncopated melodic phrasing. As it evolves, smooth arpeggios glisten with glassy ease while Izzet's original is paid tribute to with an intelligent reworking that hits its stride in the second half with stunning dancefloor power.

Rising out of the Florida club scene with 25 years experience, Mariner + Domingo joined forces in late 2019 to establish a production partnership that hasn't looked back. Quickly establishing themselves as forces to be reckoned with throughout the underground dance fraternity, their music for the likes of Sound Avenue, Balkan Connection and The Purr has found the duo creating a name for themselves that is set to grow. Making their Particles debut, the duo's remix of "Abstract Distortion" is characterised by a rippling percussive groove that drives through the near 9-minute offering. Evolving delicately through bell-toned arpeggio and smooth bassline progression, echoes of Izzet's melodic prowess is in evidence as Mariner + Domingo display their own production prowess in a plethora of new production material that give their remix impressive new purpose and direction, lighting up the track post-breakdown.

Original tracks from Izzet combined with a pair of stunning remixes brings "Abstract Distortion" into sharp focus.
