Entitled House Lessons, that’s just what the mix is, a 360 degree view of modern house music, from the bumpy, vibe setting opener to the bouncy, shuffling garage inflections of ‘Drama’ via the jacking Darius Syrossian remix of ‘Housin Tha Rave.’ Mixed perfectly tightly and always following an increasingly energetic narrative arc, the mix then takes in full on retro rave stabs, slick and sliding tech house from masters of the form Luna City Express and then dips into deeper, more bubbling and New York influenced house music.

Midway through the mix and fully settled into an inviting groove, unhinged and playful originals like ‘Nuts,’ ‘Psyjack’ and ‘Horny’ sandwich raw, though tech from Patrick Topping and face melting bangers from Pan Pot as remixed by Sidney himself. The latter half of the mix keeps up the pressure and features shadowy, no nonsense collaborative tracks by Sante and Sidney as well as dynamic and techno leaning solo gems like ‘Silky Thread’ and the whacked out post-dubstep rhythms of closer ’Disco Nap’.

Set for release on the 16th of February, the LP features remixes and collaborations with artists including Sante, Pan-Pot, Hot Since 82, Patrick Topping and more.

Counting releases from the likes of Solardo, Darius Syossian and Latmun amongst their already impressive back-catalogue, Max Chapman and George Smeddles’ Resonance Records imprint is consistently turning heads on the tech house scene. Staying true to previous form, May 18th will see Wade join their ranks with a heavyweight audio assault in the shape of his Hardpop EP, backed up in style with a seriously strong remix from the hottest duo around, CamelPhat.

Already associated with Solá, Elrow and Toolroom - Spain’s Wade has been honing his craft for almost a decade now and with names like Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and Richie Hawtin all supporting his releases, it’s obvius that the hard work is paying off.

Starting as he means to go on, Wade approaches the Hardpop EP title track with no holds barred. A relentless roller that fuses effects and samples with a killer bassline to devastating effect, Hardpop goes in. hard. Layering chopped-up vocals with a futuristic flavour that’ll keep people on their toes, the lack of subtlety in this EP continues with Boyz In Da Hood - a track which packages a healthy dose of funk alongside a catchy-as-f vocal in what might be the grooviest offering on the release.

With the two original tracks providing plenty reasons between them for this release to do the job, Resonance have gone the extra mile and enlisted CamelPhat to rework Boyz In Da Hood with their inimitable style. It’s not hard to understand why these guys are on everyone’s radars right now, but if you need it, you can hear another 5-minute reason right here: a far cry from the subdued groove of Cola, CamelPhat have taken the already heavy duty original by Wade and turned it up to eleven in every possible way.

It’s rare for a release to have two solid tracks along an equally strong remix, but the Hardpop EP does just that. If you’re looking for three take-no-prisoners, peak-time weapons - look no further; you can guarantee that the contents of the Hardpop EP will be drilling dancefloors and terraces across the globe this summer, and with good reason.

Spanish stalwart Dennis Cruz returns to Crosstown Rebels this March with a solid four track EP that sees him join forces with Los Suruba for the title track.

Title track Uhuru opens the EP with a tantalising groove, tribal vocal hook and mesmerizing percussion, inducing a trance-like state. The permeating bass of Notche enters next as it throbs throughout the track, building into a hedonistic spacetrip. Los Libros is a rawer offering with a stripped back percussive section and beguiling female vocal hook. Loco closes the EP with its deep, hypnotic rhythm and an air of darkness that is blended with scintillating synths in the breakdown before diving headfirst back into the intense beat.

Dennis Cruz’s musical journey has seen him win high-praise for his output with a number of awards and nominations including Best Producer in 2017’s DJ Awards. He’s released on influential imprints including Solid Grooves, Moon Harbour and Hot Creations garnering support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Nic Fanciulli and Marco Carola.
