Tash's Movement Limited welcomes Paul Anthonee to the label for his debut EP. Based in Cyprus, Paul Anthonee has a long history with the Movement label collective. In addition to being one of his country's most recognizable electronic music artists, Paul has appeared on Movement Recordings nine times over the last half-decade, while also recording two EPs and a remix for Astral Records, a label for which he operates as the lead AandR. In addition to an extensive history with the Movement family, Paul has also showcased his music via Beatfreak Recordings, Lost On You, Parquet, Running Clouds and Steyoyoke. Now as 2022 winds to a close Paul makes his long overdue Movement Limited debut with 'Hidden Flies'.

While Paul is best known for his floor-filling melodic house and techno sound, here we get to see a different side of his studio repertoire. First track 'Silence is Forbidden' is instantly seductive, with its hopeful vocal phrasing, meandering arps and bed of lush breakbeats which ultimately carry the emotional five-minute journey. Meanwhile, the companion piece 'Inner Echoes' continues to diversify Paul's portfolio as laid-back beats, exotic percussive arrangements and a nature-centric backdrop perfectly foreshadow a melancholic lead and thought-provoking finale.

Folgar ft Paula OS - Playground (Agustin Giri Remix) - SELADOR

In this ever-more saturated, fast moving music marketplace, a track needs to be pretty damn special to not only break through, but then have a shelf life. Here at Selador, we're delighted to say that 'Playground' by Folgar, featuring an unforgettable vocal performance from Paula Os, has hit that particular jackpot.

Our multi-artist Showcase releases frequently produce memorable break out tracks, but in this case, the story cuts deeper. We always get frontline dance floor despatches from label bosses Seaman & Parry and Showcase DJ feedback quickly shows us cuts that are popping off. What made 'Playground' stand out was when the batphone at HQ started a'ringin' with some of our favourite artists requesting to remix it.

And when the message came through from the man himself in Argentina that there was a tubthumper of a breaks mix lurking in the vaults itching to be unleashed (all crunching beats, shimmering synths and ethereal vocal snatches), it was all systems go for a full fat four track package.

"Deep, sexy electronica - 80s vibes through a 2022 Argentinean lens" is how we first described the original, and we stand by those words. Remixers James Harcourt and Agustin Giri both also dug that vibe, but each adds their own unique sonic stamp. James teases and stretches out Paula's vocal, making it inescapable and anthemic in equal measure, pure peak time. Agustin goes deep, dark and tribal, building to a goose-bump inducing vocal breakdown which will set pulses racing.

Tash's Movement Recordings caps off 2022 by unveiling the third installment of their 'ProgNoesis' series. Landing in December of 2020, the inaugural edition of 'ProgNoesis' featured an amalgamation of progressive house and melodic techno, with a cohesive blend of both new and established artists delivering genre-defying tracks. The success of the first volume paved the way for edition number two which landed a year later amidst praise from Danny Tenaglia, John OO Fleming, Mariano Mellino, Mind Against and more. Now becoming an annual tradition, Movement Recordings presents the third installment of 'ProgNoesis' featuring new music from Tash, Chris Cargo, Govinda, Reig (FR) and Orlanne, Varun Fernandes and Chris Drifter.

Returning to the label with selection three is Govinda. Hailing from Argentina, Pablo Francisco Retamero aka Govinda has been pushing his unique style of house and techno for over a decade. First as part of the Le Microkosmos duo which toured the globe playing at Creamfields with the likes of Boys Noize, Faithless, Simian Mobile Disco and Crystal Castles, to present day as he operates solo as Govinda with releases via Just Movement, The Purr and TRYBESof. Movement Recordings has also been a comfortable landing spot for Govinda, with four releases coming courtesy of the Greek imprint since making his debut with a contribution to the label's popular 'Technical Progress' series in 2017. Now, making a welcome return to the label, Govinda presents his latest studio creation 'Everything Happens'.

A wonderful view opened to my gaze while I was sitting on a small cosy balcony – the powerful Apennine mountains in the distance – their peaks were caressed by delicate velvet clouds. This view brought something beautiful yet at the same time something disturbing that was limiting my sight of them.

Suddenly I saw a flock of migratory birds flying south and their sudden presence gave me a feeling of joy. I was happy for them, because despite the difficulty of the flight they are free, and their sight is not blocked.

The latest release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue label is a remix edition of Fabian Balino's "Sent From Above EP", which was originally released in 2021.Fabian, a talented dj and producer hailing from the United States, made his debut on Sound Avenue's "Correlation" two years ago. For the remixes, Madloch invited some of the most promising artists in the electronic music scene, including DOT (formerly known as "Day Out Of Time"), Hobin Rude, and St.Ego. DOT, from Brazil, released his amazing Copacabana EP on the Future Avenue sublabel in '21, while Hobin Rude, from Serbia, has released music on labels such as The Soundgarden, Beat Boutique, Sound Avenue, and Mango Alley. St.Ego, from Russia, has quickly gained recognition with two original EPs released on the 3rd Avenue label last year. This remix edition of the "Sent From Above EP" is sure to be a standout release, featuring the diverse styles and talents of these artists. It's a must-listen for fans of electronic music, and a great addition to Madloch's 3rd Avenue label.

Gate13 — Amor (ReCorpo Remix) [Suprematic]

'CASOMAT006 is the ‘White Spring’ EP - two originals by Swiss producer Normen Hood and remixes by Deckert and Lerm & Hamoon. Based in Zürich, Normen Hood cites the mountains and rivers around his home as the inspiration for his music. And considering the consistent stream of quality output he produces, the inspiration is quite clearly (both literally and figuratively) flowing.

The two originals on the EP, ‘White Spring’ and ‘Luna’, both show Normen’s aptitude for melodies, with both being built around their own respective centrepiece synth-lines. White Spring’s is a looping arpeggio, almost disorientating at points, with the main motif being reflected and flipped and delayed and played back from all directions. Luna starts slow and gradually builds, teasing at what’s to come for a good 4 minutes, before finally opening up into a huge pad - lush & expansive and completely enveloping the listener.'
