Tash's Movement Recordings rounds out the month of October with a new EP from Der Effekt and Avior. Hailing from Austria, Marcel Fenkart and Marco Glabonjat make up the Der Effekt production team and have amassed an impressive discography since first emerging in 2008. Top tier imprints such as Beat Boutique, Beatfreak, Freegrant, FSOE, ICONYC and UV have played host to the duo's dance floor minded creations. Also finding a home on Movement Recordings, the duo featured prominently on the second edition of the label's popular 'Prognoesis, Vol. 02' collection. Meanwhile, Swiss artist Jan Biasi aka Avior has achieved measurable success since first emerging in 2015, with Prospection Records, Lemon Juice records, Cenital Music and more have played host to his melodic sound. Now, presenting their debut collaborations, Der Effekt and Avior combine their extensive forces with 'Inception', alongside a remix from Circle of Life.

Rounding out the release with the lone interpretation of 'Contact' is Circle of Life. Serbian artist Circle of Life made his Movement Recordings debut in 2019 with the well-received 'Black Light' EP. The next three years would see the Belgrade resident forge a strong bond with the label, delivering nine originals and two remixes across six excellent releases, while also landing projects for top tier imprints such as Beat Boutique, Beatfreak, Siona Records, Sprout and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Now, on the strength of 'PWR', a joint EP with Movement Recordings boss Tash, Circle of Life returns to the label with a powerful take on 'Contact'. Electrically charged with perfectly manicured beats and machine gun rhythms, its cosmic appeal beams brightly from the outset. Combining fluttery arps and vibrant tonal themes with crisp percussion and striking design makes for a sleek yet poignant first act. Playful arps and timely modulation heighten the senses during a well-crafted break, bringing a hopeful slant and eventually paving the way for a stripped back drop and warm key changing finale. It rounds out an excellent artist showcase from Der Effekt and Avior, an artist trio who present their debut collaborations in fine style. Highly recommended.

The latest release on Madlochs 3rd Avenue imprint finds the label showcasing the 30th edition of their popular Three Of A Kind series. These VA EP releases feature three producers who contribute two originals, with the end result being a unique amalgamation of sound, something which has now become synonymous with the Sound Avenue affiliate. Invited to showcase their talents for the 30th edition are Audiofive from South Africa, YANIQ from Switzerland and Argentina producer M.B.T.R. who made two collab tracks with American producer Rich Greene.

PREMIERE: Accent – Another Flavor [ See You On Monday ]

Following their contribution to our 'Florilegia' series, Thessaloniki-based duo Momery returns to the chambers of ICONYC with their first, fully-fledged EP, 'Still I Love You'. Comprised of three blistering cuts, Charis Giachanos & George Papadopoulos' new record offers a chromed, holographic picture brimming with an irrepressible sense of the modern underground at every turn. 

Wasting no bar, our latest entry makes the most out of its design by kicking off with, 'Wanna Know', as Momery set the tone in truly ICONYC fashion. The pair deploy thumping kicks and a pulsating jet-back bassline, terraforming the bedrock for an all-out assault on the senses. As seconds pass, echoing vocals dance, twisting and turning, contorting in arresting shapes while they take our breath away, cleverly intertwining with gated synths providing the ultimate pleasure release.

The energetic parade continues with 'Lose My Mind', where the Greek duo course through a similar vein, stacking a throbbing low end to create a rocking frame that ups the ante with its sharp, skitterish hi-hats that cut through the mix with consummate ease. Meanwhile, meandering effervescent bursts glide across the piece before irresistible echoing vocal flourishes take control. Big, bold, and colorful as they come, 'Lose My Mind' is the fix that scratches that late-night itch with its unmistakable club flair. 

Our last offering 'Still Love You'. Running rampant, Momery take it away with a brash bassline that thrashes across reverberating embers and enthralling vocal swells for a mesmerizing juxtaposition of forces. Leading down to a spacious break, 'Still Love You' `presents us with an uplifting 80s-laced trance lead that pulls at our souls before it all comes crashing down spectacularly for one last rapturous celebration.

Piante Vive is a collaborative project that came to life in late 2023, the result of two friends and producers Biocym and Ronsucco, who began making electronic music together, heavily influenced by Milan’s techno scene and their contrasting yet complementary backgrounds.

On one side, Biocym brings a foundation in deep techno, characterized by hypnotic grooves and rhythmic depth. On the other, Ronsucco hails from the Italian trap and hip-hop scene, focusing on melodic structures and atmospheric, ambient elements.

Silk Music Showcase 489 - Vintage & Morelli Mix

After having appeared on Manual Music a couple of times already, and with a brand new release on Manual coming up in the near future, this time we welcome Formel to our MNL label for a lovely proggy melodic effort titled 'Cacoal'.

The Dutch duo have been around for quite some years now, and their music has seen the light of day via infamous labels such as Last Night On Earth, Replug, Beatfreak, Weiter, Sincopat, Einmusika and Traum.

We're happy to call them one of our own, as they've also joined our recently launched Manual Bookings agency. 'Cacoal' is just another piece of evidence of their capability to write warm, dreamy but highly effective melodic music.

On remix duties we welcome industry legend Paul Sawyer on the label for the very first time. The Krafted label boss has been a key player since the early nineties and we're delighted to have him on board, showcasing his effortless skills remixing the Formel guys. A delightful remix that will surely appeal to all the prog-heads out there.
