'Colour in Music stands for artists who make music with the heart, and the 45th release proves that. Another new face to the label, this time from Lisbon, Errol.ex with this (S)Tuning EP! 

"Tuning", the track that opens and gives its name to the EP, starts with a nice fade in intro that  builds up into a nice smooth deep tone vibe. The experts say that a perfect loop can be heard for hours. Well you will listen to this for years. Deep house goodness.

On the remix duty for "Tuning" we have Marcus Raute one of the most prolific artists of the label. Following the sucess of his "Soul II Soul" Ep with Ron Boos, he is back again.
Our boy grabs the original vibe giving it his dancefloor touch. The result is a banger, with analog touch drums, basement House. The pads coming and going. Without fear. Well done Marcus! 

"1997" is the perfect match beetween House, Disco, Deep or whatever you want to call it.
Long pads, underground voices, crispy drum elements.
This very mature track, full of depth, and solid, will give the most exquiste house heads, a perfect playlist dream.

Closing the Ep with a remix of "1997" is Amarno. After his debut on Colour in Music with a remix with Luís Bravo for Andy Caz - "Fill the Gap", he returns with a deep tech approach. He gives us pumping bassline and pushes the original vocal to another side with some fxs combined with delayed chords.

PREMIERE: YORY — Rainy Day (Original Mix) [Yet Records]

Italian native Cristina Lazic returns to Rebellion following her recent release on the Souls Vol.2 VA last year. This March the rising star delivers an accomplished three-track EP for the Crosstown Rebels sub-label.

Talking about the release, Cristina explains: “Burning is an EP that will accompany people in a variety of situations - from introspective journeys in moments of reflection, to social gatherings with friends and all the way to the dance floor. It consists of three tracks that contain a mix of minimal sounds with groovy bass, with female / male catchy vocals and unique elements full of surprises.” Delving further into the creation of the EP she reveals: “In Mirror I was inspired to include a guitar tone after listening to the great track “Taff” by Leonidas and Traumer; Jazzy Feeling is the result of an effort to combine minimal with funk and jazz music. Finally, with the lead track Burning I wanted to obtain a happy dance floor sound to make people dance, including unexpected elements, like seventh chords.”

In the title track Burning, a playful bassline drives the track as floaty vocals ride throughout the dreamy layers of chords and percussion. Jazzy Feeling is deep and powerful with a solid bassline, infectious vocals and an inspiriting atmosphere. Last up, Mirror rounds off the EP, once again demonstrating Cristina’s adept skill for creating hypnotic layers, sensual tones and rolling dancefloor music that can also be enjoyed anywhere at any time.

Born in Milan and raised in London, Cristina Lazic started playing the piano when she was six and grew up composing music. Emerging into the spotlight only four years ago, Cristina has performed at iconic clubs and festivals around the world. She also caught the attention of Pioneer DJ Italy, who chose her as an ambassador and example for aspiring female DJs. Her releases can be found on Bondage Music, Creature Records and Rebellion. Part of shesaid.so, the world leading community of women in the music industry, she leads the parenthood committee’s efforts to safeguard the interest of artists with kids.

Premiere: Cristina Lazic - Jazzy Feeling [Rebellion]

A dynamic duo returns to Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal's Rejected: Steve Bug and Cle. Two old friends who get together with no other motive than to have fun on their machines and dig deep into the art of groove creation.

Their collaborative fusion is a tried and tested combination that goes back almost 20 years with tracks like 'Behind TheCurtain' and 'Monkey Shoulder'. It continues to this day, with much of their collaborative output landing on Rejected, including huge heaters like 'Together', 'Tweaky Blinders', 'Flying Keys'. And now these two wonderful late night monsters: 'The Rave' and 'Butterflies Speak Poetry'.

'The Rave' is the sound of Bug and Cle flexing back over their old Berlin stomping grounds like Planet and E-Werk. Armed with swinging percussive beats and classic ravey detuned synth tones, it's that perfect sweet spot between heritage and futurism, rooted in the foundation but still with its head in tomorrow.

For added sweetness, dig deeper for the profound sounds of 'Butterflies Speak Poetry'. An intense exploration of 303 funk, this one is all about the acid lines and how they intertwine and flutter between each other to create another timeless slab of deep, dark matter funk. Every bit as free spirited as both butterflies and poetry, it's another precision combination from the long-standing Rejected duo. Long may this dynamism continue.

Fresh from her previous Pets outing alongside of Balam, Madrid-based DJ, producer, promoter and all round scene shaker, Fernanda Arrau, returns to the label, this time in partnership with Persona RS.  'Match Point' finds the pair taking centre court to pay tribute to Chilean Tennis player, Chino Ríos, with some powerful B-Boy styling. Scything retro-rhythms and classic Chicago vibes are cheekily adorned with cascading synths, vintage piano lines and dominant back hands. Winning our vote and easily taking the win.

From Guatemala, Jorge Galindo, the talented DJ and producer, made his debut on the label with "Marciano Raver." The EP consists of four tracks—two original versions and two masterful remixes by So Piuzzi and Tkuz.

Galindo’s message is clear: it's possible to enjoy a sonic journey without the need to "explode." His music aims to offer a different kind of auditory experience, one that is both deep and satisfying.

This EP showcases a darker, more experimental phase with a mysterious atmosphere that entices listeners to crave more. It’s designed to immerse the audience in a deep, enigmatic soundscape, featuring scattered, otherworldly sounds with a preference for the strange and obscure.
