META014 is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated Metalheadz releases in the label's entire history! This milestone outing sees a long overdue debut release for one of the drum and bass scene's greatest talents Dom & Roland. His constant output of critically acclaimed work, over nearly twenty years, has contained some of the biggest tracks this genre has ever spawned. We proudly present two brand new outstanding examples of his production genius for your listening pleasure.

Both sides of this release are already instantly recognisable to most discerning and non-discerning fans and both will no doubt become future classics, just as you might anticipate from Dom's first Metalheadz outing.

'Unofficial Jah' draws inspiration from Goldie's ground-breaking seminal 1995 album 'Timeless'. Crafting the recognisable elements toward a direction that perfectly fits the track's title. Dom stamps his unmistakable champion sound into a Goldie classic, creating a truly heavyweight, dubbed out reconstruction of epic proportions.

'Outta Endz' perfectly completes an essential release with a piece of music that has been destroying dance floors and leaving people setting all the regular forums and club convo’s alight with the question “What is that Outta London vocal tune!?” It's intro pads leading up to a stuttered repeated cry of “Straight Outta London” before dropping into a track so big it's practically an instant rewind. Truly a 'must have' piece of vinyl.

To finish off the release, the stunning sleeve art fittingly depicts a new take on the classic Metalheadz logo, the lion has awoken! Let Jah be praised!

Kazakhstan-based producer Command Strange continues his prolific run with the debut release for the fledgling Antillectual Beats. Those familiar with his releases for labels like Fokuz and Celsius will know what to expect - jazz-flecked D&B with sunshine melodies abound. "Shine" kicks things off with a Baltic tinged banger which hits hard in the low-end department, while "Sunrise", featuring the vocal talents of Iriann Joyce offers a more laid back form of rolling groove. "When The Morning Comes" offers more harmonic orchestral smoothness pushed forward by powerful breaks, while "Summertime" offers the EP's quirkiest - and best - track, with a junglist bassline and FX combo that pushes the sun-dreched guitar into the stratosphere. Harnessing the joint creative force of two of V Recordings’ most exciting producers, The Turbulence EP is a tour de force, with L-Side & Andrezz delivering in a range of styles.

Two of the V Recording’s stables most exciting prospects, Andrezz and L-Side have already made their mark on Liquid V and Chronic. With a back catalogue featuring respected labels such as DJ Marky’s Innerground Recordings, Vibration Recordings, and Soul Deep Records as well as his huge Resistance EP, Andrezz joins forces with Chronic. Originally a hip hop producers, L-Side’s brand of minimal Drum and Bass has already seen his Brainstorm EP featured on the all-new Chronic imprint. Now the two join forces for an all round blend of quality Drum and Bass.

More than the sum of its parts, the latest release on V Recordings sees Andrezz and L-Side combine their talents for an EP that walks the line between dark dancefloor
DnB and Melodic liquid. Kicking off with one of the darkest tracks you’ll hear, the title track is a deadly dancefloor number - harking back to some of V sister-label Chronic’s darkest releases. Taking things on a different vibe, Overtime shows yet another style to one of V Recordings' most exciting pairings. Laid back and chilled with a bass tinged vibe, ‘Overtime' is the perfect blend of melody and crushing bass weight. The third track see’s L-Side remix Andrezz’s Neanderthal with atmospheric results. Keeping the same vibe as the original but adding his Chronic approved style, L-Side produces another banger. Taking things on a sunnier vibe.  the melodic sounds of 'Better Days’ work to produce sunny uplifting contrast whilst the duo show yet another side to their production style with  ‘Archeology’. Rolling out the tribal beats, Archeology touches on yet another style of DnB, ending what can truly be described as an all-round EP.

Andrezz - Neanderthal (L-Side Remix) [V Recordings]

The wait is over - PB4 is here. Perhaps one of the most revered album series in drum & bass is back with a vengeance, and some are saying it maybe the best yet. 

Staccato drums are the order of the day with The Ascent, the drums play with the bass to make a huge groove that encourages unseen shapes on the dancefloor. It’s very grimy but oh so dancefloor, and it’s a welcome return to Metalheadz for The Invaderz.
