Naarm/Melbourne’s Lily Dalton caught my ear with an impressive series of mixes for @city-bleus and @chomleychomley among others, and I’m so glad to welcome her as she prepares to launch her upcoming label @irregularforms. Lily’s mix is infectious and brilliantly paced, all while highlighting a solid dose of Australian music, and it’s clear she’ll soon enough be bringing entire crowds to their knees. This one sounds like a rush to the front, a shared inhale, a collective dream of dancing beneath a florescent sky.

We have been following her work since long before the Warning times so it's an honor to have her on the mix series with a 68min trip through Breakbeats, Dub Techno and Trance. Selected and mixed with the type of skill one only achieves by years of dedication and experience. So young DJs out there, sit down, listen and learn how it's done. But in first place, enjoy this wonderful example of emotional story telling.

Berlin-based artist Marie Tjong Ayong delivers a captivating four-tracker with her „motherland“ EP, which unfolds like a sonic ritual — earthy, dubby, and steeped in natural rhythm.

Navigating fluidly between dub techno, grey area, downtempo, and breakbeat, the EP carves out its own genre-blurring identity. The sound is rooted in a warm, organic atmosphere, driven by percussive detail and an unmistakably natural flow. You can sense Marie’s background as a trained jazz trumpeter in the subtle musical intelligence that underlies each movement.

From the driving, rhythm-heavy opener „freshelle“ to the introspective, bass-laden „tiger balm“, the EP continuously shifts form and energy. „desert of boredom“ maintains the dub-soaked aesthetic while injecting a more forceful groove, before "rodeo of the bugs“ rounds things off with deep, muted dub techno and refined percussive finesse.
