So excited to welcome BLNDR to the series, a long-awaited delight after observing the French producer develop his magnetic and kaleidoscopic sound over the years. BLNDR's mix is glimmering and atmospheric, reflective of the patient and meticulous nature inhabiting his work as both BLNDR and his more-recent Traevor alias. Voiced in a heartfelt tone and assembled with a poet's touch, this set is a soft yet spry landing to an intense season, breathing a new air, fluttering to a new rhythm, earnest to the very end. I enjoyed this one immensely and I hope you will too. Thanks Tom!

This set was recorded live at the beautiful community space Coppi in Berlin, where I was invited by my dear friends from the Brandwerk collectif. 
🐚 I took the opportunity to craft a sonic journey filled with some of my favorite vinyls, musicians, and labels ~ music I turn to when I’m at home, spending days reconnecting and realigning my spiritual forces. 

🌀🪷 It’s a trip to my safe space (which is the garden of my mind ~ where I prune the leaves that need care, check in on my inner trees, flowers and roots ~ aka my mental wellbeing)
I meditate, dance alone in my living room, laugh, sometimes cry, write, read, cook, question the world and myself ~ everything.

🧿 This mix begins as an invitation for us to start our inner visit together, exploring our personal safe spaces. May it guide you to some depth within and, hopefully, help you find the strength to face your battles and the freedom to be your true self.

a morning meeting that had the texture of something very familiar, meant for all and shaped together.

"The joy and thrill of having unrestricted creative space, setting and curating a festival stage, shaping its aesthetic, and amplifying the sound through our handcrafted soundsystem was an experience to cherish.

As we stepped up to play, Alfonso had already set the tone since sunrise, guiding the crowd with deep, dubby, and minimal sounds. By the time he passed us the decks, the audience was fully immersed in this hypnotic, mellow and groove-driven atmosphere, ready to carry on.

Playing on our soundsystem, on a stage we had envisioned and built from the ground up, was a truly special moment, both the fruition of a dream and the start of something more."

Glisten ☉ Ouroboros Festival 2024

The Circle Stage awakened on Saturday morning as Glisten opened the Circle Stage, weaving a tapestry of sound that felt both otherworldly and deeply intimate. A fusion of lush, ambient melodies and intricate, trippy drum rhythms—felt like an invocation of a day dream-state. It was as if we had been transported by a blue lotus flower to a space where time slowed, and the air shimmered with a surreal beautiful vibration. Chimeric, organic forms seemed to sprout from the music itself, growing, twisting, and blooming in rhythm, expanding not just our imagination but our hearts, through the creation of a unspoken connexion between space and people.

Certain comforts stand out in the quiet of these colder months—a warm drink in hand, the familiar weight of a well-worn sweater, and a mix that carries the depth and warmth of something tangible, something analog. That very sensation defines the work of our next guest in the “Delayed with…” series: Velvia, a multidisciplinary artist from Paris whose love for analog textures runs through his photography and music. Whether capturing light on film or digging through his ever-expanding collection of records, his approach is driven by a deep appreciation for detail, process, and the imperfections that make things feel alive.

Marking a special milestone, Velvia takes the reins for the 150th edition of the series, guiding us through the submerged world of dubby house and techno, where atmosphere dictates movement and groove follows instinctively. The transitions unfold with an understated elegance, weaving together sounds that resist rigid categorization. Somewhere between structure and spontaneity, this mix lingers in the undefined spaces, embracing the beauty of subtle shifts and evolving textures.

Much like the film stock he takes his name from, Velvia’s work is all about depth, contrast, and a heightened sense of reality. This mix is no different. It doesn’t just fill the room; it sharpens the details, deepens the shadows, and brings the moment into focus.

Avsluta (Lucie Stepankova) moves with quiet precision, tracing the lines between ambient stillness and rhythmic motion. As a London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer, and curator, she explores the spaces where sound lingers and transforms.

Her set at Mostra Festival 2023 left a lasting impression. A seamless journey through moods and tempos, carried with effortless elegance. It felt only right to invite her to Unrush, and now here we are finally.

For this mix, Lucie dives into deeper ambient landscapes, showing the same thoughtful sensitivity that shapes her work. Over the past decade, Lucie has refined her musical voice behind the counter at Phonica Records, guiding London’s ambient and downtempo seekers most Saturdays, building connections, sharing music, and fostering community along the way.

She’s the founder of Introspective Electronics, a platform for radio shows, guest mixes, and listening events. Together with producer and DJ Alicia, she also curates Terra Obscura, an intimate club night series devoted to slower, introspective sounds.
