"Kaifeng-born, now London-based Yu Su is a musician, DJ, sound artist and occasional chef. As one of the most prominent Chinese artists with a highly unique voice working across the globe in the last 5 years, her output covers all the ground you’d expect and more. Her multiple critically acclaimed records on UK’s Technicolor (Ninja Tune), Netherlands’s Music from Memory and China’s own Bie Records has seen her nominated for Canada’s Polaris Prize. She has co-produced music with John Carroll Kirby, Duval Timothy and is known for remix works for Parquet Courts, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, and many more. As a DJ, she is unpredictable, idiosyncratic; just “casually having the dance floor transfixed” have put her on the spotlights at clubs and festivals internationally like Dekmantel, Glastonbury, Boiler Room, iii Points, Nuits Sonores, Rainbow Disco Club, Phonox and so on. She has also recently been featured on the cover of Mixmag magazine, marking the first Chinese cover star. She has composed for feature films and fashion brands like Sacai, Jimmy Choo and London/Shanghai based SAMUEL GUÌ YANG."

Mexican-Jamaican dj/producer Andy Martin blends sci-fi techno with Latin Caribbean sounds creating a futuristic edge. His latest album, Antiguos Astronautas, is a musical exploration that merges techno with Native American futurism and has received a positive response from the music community.

This summer he will be performing at renowned European festivals and clubs in Croatia, Spain, France and Germany. 

This set has a deep, dubby, and trippy vibe, with a lot of atmospheric pads mixed with hypnotic rhythms and elements that resemble organic percussion.

We are so excited to welcome Melbourne- based dj, radio host, curator and label head @pjenne to our mix series. 

Pjenne is at the forefront of the Aussie underground scene, a true visionary! Her sound takes many forms and genres but she crafted a unique style that is very much of her own. If you haven’t already listened to her beautifully curated radio show/mix series Passing Notes we highly recommend.  

 “This mix is a live recording of (most of) my set at @terra-obscura-london in London in April last year. I played from 12-2am after Slowfoam and before Oma Totem Live - a time in the night where Ormside projects was transformed from 'soft furnishings' to club. I think the mix represents the music I played a lot across my tour last year (and probably won't stop playing), with an additional emotional sprinkle that was inspired by the work of @avsluta and @aliciasteanson. <3”

While gearing up for our 11 Years Bday coming weekend we have a mix from Bond, tipped by our lovely resident TITIA 

Bond is a DJ from Buenos Aires and a member of the LGBTQIA+ collective LOCA, He is the founder and director of Radio LOCA and LOCA Rec, platforms dedicated to consciously promoting and representing the careers of queer and dissident artists from Latin America.

This mix is a journey through the current pulse of the queer electronic scene in the Global South. A showcase of the sound of Buenos Aires, featuring tracks by fellow local producers, unreleased gems, and previews of Bond’s upcoming EP out in May via Pansa Records.

Pleasure Pump – “Fantasize Me” (Original 12’’ Club Mix)
One of the few tracks in the mix that’s neither current nor part of the local scene, but it stands out as a tribute to the roots of dance and desire, a highlight that directly connects with the queer legacy of clubbing

Truancy Volume 349: Zara

Another lovely memoir of friendship here with the ever talented Swiss artist phrex, who works under various aliases, including @seduction-dream-dust, with Animix #174. Juj is a beautiful person inside and out and his musical outputs are a reflection of his multifaceted character - often referencing his middle eastern heritage. In his animix, a wild dnb speed journey, filled with adventure and emotion, awaits.

Beyond political and social nods, phrex has an inredible ability to merge genres and styles in a way that remains seemingly fresh and unique - which, in 2025,  is harder and harder to come by. We originally met at random, as I strolled past a stage whilst he was playing an ambient set at Waking Life in 2022. The self-made remix of "Alone" by Olive he was playing drew me in and led me to ask for an ID. in return, he gifted me a cassette of the song. A beautiful memory of music exchange and friendship, and i'm really happy to finally have him in the series.
