"Venus appears to me in a dream. The sky is cloudless and I drift into a pine forest, mesmerised by the sound of her flute. I find myself entangled in a dance of indecipherable mumblings that, like the woods' inhabitants, change shape when night falls.
I glimpse a luminous mist in the distance, guiding me towards a veiled cedar cabin. I step inside, abandoning myself alongside the other participants. The melody of the flute begins to distort into a fossilised howl, melting into my eardrums and merging with the echoes of a forest that grows ever more distant.
And in the midst of these rustling whispers, I find myself reduced to dust. The flaming light of the cabin will show me the way out: in the fire of darkness, I choose a new life. "

Spanish-born but now based in Milan, Ultramarín (@ultramarin-blau) explores sound as a vessel of shifting consciousness. Embracing deep listening as a core element in her practice, her aim is to expand the boundaries of perception, going below the surface of what is heard. Distinguished by an eclectic approach, her sets span from experimental ambient to downtempo, to hypnotic and avant-garde techno.

The Bunker Podcast 235 comes from @erikluebs. This is a live set recorded in Milan on March 28 at the party Acquario.

Erik Luebs is a US-born musician and sound designer based in Japan. Eschewing typical genre tropes, Luebs approaches techno with a playfully disruptive technique, reinterpreting the fundamentals using built-from-scratch patches and labyrinthine sequencing. While the labor-intensive process is inspired by a wide range of luminaries such as Mark Fell and Rrose, the resulting music is firmly tied to the dance floor.

Luebs released an EP on The Bunker back in 2021, and has since released on DJ Nobu’s Bitta label (@djnobu_bitta), and @nousklaeraudio. He also has an upcoming release on the legendary @kompakt imprint.

Erik will be playing an ambisonic surround sound set for a horizontal audience at Going In at Reforestor’s Laboratory in Brooklyn this Friday, and an extended sunrise dancefloor set at The Bunker’s takeover of @nowadaysnyc Nonstop on Sunday morning.

IDO returns with the second chapter of Transcendental Movements – a series dedicated to active meditation and deep listening. Every vibration becomes an anchor point, every resonance a gateway inward. In a world saturated with noise and anxiety, this approach offers a space to refocus the body and calm the mind. Here, listening is not passive: it’s an awakened trance where tensions shift and dissolve, leaving only a pure sense of presence.

For this second volume, Valentino Mora has gathered a new ensemble of artists exploring the frontier between intimate perception and sonic landscape. The compositions – slow and organic – unfold like micro-universes, at times ethereal, at times dense, designed to guide the listener on a sensory journey that transforms anxiety into movement, and movement into inner peace. Transcendental Movements Vol. 2 is an invitation to listen differently: not to escape, but to return to yourself.

Berlin-based sound artist Sarah Wreath is dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of music. Through frequencies, sound research, and music production, she explores the alchemical properties of sound and its profound effect on the body and mind.

For Sarah, there is no hierarchy between producer and DJ, nor between the club's dancefloor, the acoustic hall, or the meditative sound bath. Each space and role offers a unique opportunity to engage with the intricacies of human perception, delivering deeply immersive and resonant acoustic experiences.

Versatility is at the heart of her style, as she seamlessly navigates a wide range of genres. @tabasheer is a Pittsburgh local and one of the most studious and dedicated DJs around. That dedication is shown in this mix ahead of Answer Code Request from last May. Featuring a heavy collection of atmospheric techno with hints of broken beat and electro, Tabasheer constructed a superb warm up set, leaving the dance floor primed for more.
