Dancing On My Own (Robyn Cover)

This is the first single from producer, musical shapeshifter and one man music machine Moloney's upcoming album (March 2015 - titled Only Lonely - thru Sureshaker and MGM), and on it he brings his production, vocals and instrumentation skills and his musical range into sharp focus.
 
Once again he uses a mutant hip hop and dub as a base to shoot out from and on this time he takes aim into the musical hemisphere in the same way as say, the legendary Beck of Odelay or J Dilla or the newer school Chet Faker. It's hip hop, but not as we know it, it's dub but not as we've known it, it's also punk soul. And once again it has it’s own DNA.

A series of national tours, that have seen his local reputation rise, culminated in a European tour in April of this year. On this trip Moloney started the song writing and recording for his new project. And along the way he found purpose. 
Where others stumble Moloney, touring through regional France Holland and the UK, found where he fit in the musical landscape. Touring solo - with has trademark loops and beats - the experience has helped him sharpen his focus. 

This brings us to Do It Again - Moloney set about putting the songs together - and more writing and producing the moment he got back.  Along the way realising that the project had a life of it's own and the material was staking up to fill an album. 
Do It Again is the first arrow from the new soul quiver. It takes up where he left off: unique beat surges, pushing out a kind of hip hop sensibility, and a story that transforms from a rhythmic soul, melody and harmony swirl through the prism of his vision. 

He's currently back on tour in Europe (second time this year), playing shows in Holland, France, Germany and the UK. He’ll be back in Australia in December and out on the road playing with Benjalu and doing select solo dates bringing Do It Again to Australia.
