The Surfboard Crew includes Daa Kant, Chyna (Hollywood), Michael Haywood (M~Beats), and Joey Bullis (Young Bull).

M~Beats out of Trenton New Jersey was born a musician, he started playing the drums when he was 8 and moved to guitar when he was 11. He began studying music through the guitar, learning classical but mostly focusing in Jazz. During that time he played with acts such as the Les Paul Trio, members of Black Label Society, The Bill Hannah Group, and other local artist from NJ to Charlotte. He then discovered a love of hip hop, mostly through listening to artist like J Dilla and XXYYXX. He first met Joey Bullis while taking classes at CPCC which in turn led them to playing shows together> a duel DJ and MC with a very experimental sound using live instruments during shows, and even some acoustic shows. Through these shows M~Beats met Hollywood and Daa Kant. He aims for a different sound, not going for generic hip hop sounds and instead experimenting with live instruments as well as some electronic sounds.
