This is a collection of works designed to show the creativity and versatility composers Jeff Meegan and David Tobin.

We've both been writing for Media for over a decade and a half and have numerous commercial credits as well countless media placements. We've excellent experience in corporate and advertising work and it's our creativity and attention to perfection that means our clients come back time and again.

Here's a selection of indie, folk, pop and rock which shows our breadth, but we are equally able to provide orchestral, jazz, big band and any other style you'd care to mention. We're both working with some of the biggest publishers in the industry but are keen to find new creative partners to work alongside.

David Whyte - Venturing Across the Unknown

The sound recorded was for a project around the flamingos of the Yucatan. I arrived at this location to record surround sound of an estuary that was located inland. There was a tower about 50 ft. high that I climbed to record the sounds of the birds as they were waking up for the day. I was in the tower by 4:30am and recorded for the next five hours. This is as the sun was just coming up and the birds were calling out in waves of strange noises. Some of which did not sound like birds and the guide that was with me could not name. It was quite the experience. I was in the Yucatan for a period of two weeks and during that time was able to record in many different areas and of course I spent a lot of time with the flamingos. I recorded using a Sound Devices 664 mixer/recorder and at times used a Sound Devices 663. Most of the recordings were done using a Schoeps Stereo set up and a surround sound Holophone.

トラディショナルな聖歌に加え、阿部海太郎作曲の「Sanctus」やharuka nakamuraに
よるリミックス曲も収録の全12曲は、教会音楽を美しく切り取るためのバランスを考慮して選曲されました。11曲目にはARAKI shinがサックスでゲスト参加。

CANTUS元来の魅力である”柔らかさ”に加え、母になったメンバーもいる、齢を重ねた女性の”包容力”や”強さ”も兼ね備えた荘厳なコーラスワークが、録音場所となった教会の豊かな反響音と溶け合い神秘的に美しく響き渡ります。

Everyone faces difficult times. It could be health, relationships, family or work - life throws curveballs. In 2008 my wife (Guida) was first diagnosed with breast cancer at age 37. She lost her father to cancer just a few months later. But we’re not unique. I bet you know someone right now fighting a serious illness. The fact is - we are mortal and our time is fleeting. It’s what we do with our time that makes all the difference.

It’s four years later and Guida is doing well. It was a difficult (and sometimes dark) period, but there were countless blessings too. There’s so much to be thankful for...

For The Naked Piano: Light & Dark each piece revolves around the theme of contrast. Some of the pieces are dark and contemplative, while others are filled with light and hope. There are pieces about the love of children and family - and others that contemplate our mortality. Others are literally influenced by the contrasts found in nature.
