29. Surf Shaper – Horizon

Based in San Diego, the sounds of Surf Shaper are often inspired by the environment of southern California, such as the endless sunlight and micro-rhythms of the ocean. Surf Shaper uses the feeling of riding an ocean wave as a model, or macrocosm, for experiencing sound waves on a smaller scale. Life in San Diego is, for many, centered around surfing and Surf Shaper seeks to translate this vibe into the music. In 2023 Surf Shaper appeared on Tour De Traum 25 with “Leucadia”, while "Horizon" will appear summer of 2025 on Tour De Traum 29. Recent releases include “Whale Sunrise”, an EP out November, 2024 on Electric Eden Records, as well as earlier EPs “Night Sky” and “Forest Memory”, also on Electric Eden.
