With a chip on his shoulder, SURF Spodie has begun to carve out a lane of his own. To separate himself from the trendy rap style of many of todays “All-Sound-The-Same” rappers, SURF Spodie channels his inner Lil’ Wayne throughout his punchline-heavy mixtape titled “Sorry For The Wave.” The concept of his project is simple: NO BEAT IS SAFE! His selection of songs range from Madeintyo’s “Skateboard P” to Outkast’s “Elevators.” The constant flurry of bars and metaphors are a brilliant contrast of the original songs, and a testament to the fact that he is ready to compete with the majors.
