The Only Way Out Is In
When we wander into a labyrinth a curious phenomenon occurs, a few corners in we realize that in the next turn, we’ll be totally lost. The point of no return: when many adverse situations pressure us, there is a point in our life, where in order to live we need to act. The place and moment where we’ll be forced to face ourselves.
In that moment a decision needs to be made: to go in or to stay back. Actions dictate our destiny and inside our projections of destiny lies our fear. With a society in crisis that realizes the only enemy is ourselves - when we don’t know where we are or where we are heading to - The Only Way Out is In.
This album explores the constant tensions between desire and fear in our projections of the future, or as some may say, our identity. A five year work with 14 songs, photo, video and VR artwork.

His love for old symbolic wisdom and indigenous songs pushes him to introduce them to the context of rave culture. Projecting love for the dance-floors and the magical community that forms in and around them.

28 year old multidisciplinary artist with the name of an African animal. Born and raised in Mexico City, With no Indigenous roots and no European roots. 
 
Coming from a classical music background, Suricata, works since 2012 trying to create a link between underground electronic music, classical music and orally transmitted music. 
 
He goes out to the world using ethno-musical historical archives from indigenous communities from Africa, Mexico and everyday sounds from his field recorder while playing synths, piano and other self constructed DIY instruments to search for an afro/indo/-latin electronic identity. 
 
His music and sound work explores identity and rituality, mixing cultural references and echoes of the social inequalities of Mexico city and the world. He creates cynic and satirical mirrors that challenges today’s blind search for dopamine aesthetic suicide. She invites us, as listeners, to remind ourselves to break the barriers that makes us live with fear of feeling. 
 
Jumping from more contemplative and active listening mediums 2015 "tza tzun tzat”   he designs modern rituals that involve sensory deprivation and meditation while also creating pieces for the context of rave culture, where music’s communal character and collective interdependence is more present. “2020 The only way out is in”. 
 
Currently living in Paris working with the objective of sharing and creating with a free and caring community.
