Episode #8 - Rooftop

The morning air is crisp, the ocean sprays a light mist upon your face, the waves crash lightly at your feet while you prepare to clip in at Beachcomber.  

This incredible visual journey takes place on your own beach @ sunrise in the outer banks of South Carolina.  

You'll have moments to spread out, flush out your legs, build in stamina/strength, and completely let loose in this magnificent setting.  You will fly across the dunes while you fly in the saddle.  Keep an eye out for some dolphins swimming in the Atlantic as time seems to cruise on by.  

This ride is simple in it's build and intensity.  It takes you places well beyond the physical realm and into some breathtaking cycling and visuals.

Welcome to Nakalele. This landscape may be beautiful but it's also rugged.  The windswept rugged trees feel like anything but the idyllic Hawaii locale. This location is Surreal. From the cliffs, to the trees, to the whales, to the blowhole that spouts water up to 50' high, to the rock formations below that create the most beautiful amphitheater to ride a bike in.  

This ride starts out hot and doesn't let up.  Just like the Hawaii Sun, it burns bright. Come find your flow.  It's time for you to step out into the Hawaiian air and get lit up.

Surreal #18 - Nakalele

Welcome to Maui.  A giant volcanic rock sitting in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. To get to this ride, you'll need to park your car at the road, navigate your way through some chest tall fields of grass, & scramble down some giant boulders to the beach.  There you will see your bike sitting on the precipice of the rock formation with a front row seat of the ocean dancing around you below.  

This 60 min ride gives you ample time to get warmed up, find your rhythm and relax on the bike.  Salt water may spray upon your face at times and there may be a whale or two breaching in the distance.   Take it all in as you fly around this amazing location on the north shore of Maui.  

Leave some juice in the tank for the 2nd half of the class.  There you will be given some freedom to get after it.

Allée is traditionally a straight path or road with a line of trees or large shrubs running along each side, which is used, as its Latin source venire ("to come") indicates, to emphasize the "coming to".  

In cycling, it is one of the most beautiful features to ride through and watch others ride through on TV. 

This is the 2nd time we've visited this particular Allée and what came out of it was another incredible ride for you to enjoy.

Some episodes don't make to the light of day. I shot this episode down at a trash plant one day.  Never amounted to anything but the mix is pretty fly.

It's hot, disco, with some incredible hip hop grooves.  Definitely not always my wheelhouse but this one hits.

Surreal Unknown Episode

Yes, you read that correctly.  This 60 minute cycling workout is going to take you deep inside one of the most beautiful volcanoes on planet Earth. Your bike will be situated at 9000' elevation and on the precipice of one of the most gorgeous views you can imagine.  From there you will have a front row seat to the Haleakala Crater in Maui.  

This just less than 60 minute ride starts to burble in the beginning.  Then by the end it will be a full on magna explosion unlike any ride you've ever done.  We wanted to create a soundtrack to match this dynamic landscape and take you to the core of the earth and back again.  

Our mission is to create ethereal riding experiences for people who simply don't have access to these places or maybe don't have the time to get outside into nature because they live in a city or some other barrier.  

This is one of the craziest rides we have ever created.  The whole day was divine and we could feel that we were in a special place.  Before the shoot, we gave respect to the island and volcano.  Then asked for permission to proceed with our plans.   

What you have here is all the pieces coming together for a once in a lifetime opportunity.  I'm so happy to share this with you.
