We're takin' it easy today with LADS' fantastic summer sip: the Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall. A riff on the Screwdriver, with Sloe Gin in place of Vodka, the Slow Crew cocktail family emerged in the 80s. LADS' version takes you on a sweet and sexy downtempo ride, perfect to while away a hot late summer night.  

Who are LADS? One German. One South African. Germafrican if you want. Meeting online (not Tinder), the two technical creatives ditched their failing modelling careers to make electronic music that babies are made to... This journey has led to the duo releasing on labels such as Lost & Found, Akbal, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Buddha Bar and seen their music supported by some of the biggest names in the industry including Solomun, Adriatique, Acid Pauli, Be Svendsen, Guy J and more. 

Being away from the clubs and festivals, the duo decided to go on a downtempo listening journey with their exclusive mix for Schirmchendrink.  "This really allows the listener to appreciate the space in between the rhythms and melodies. We named this mix after a cocktail out of the 1980s and 1990s with a racy name and definitely way too much sugar 😉  Enjoy this long comfortable screw against the wall. At least this time, it ain't in a dirty bathroom stall 😉!"

Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall | LADS

Hello friends! Here is the recording of my very first set at Stereo Montréal

A place that truly feels like (((home))) 

A room that means so much to many of us and that sparks wonders for those who haven't been yet. A space where we can be free, all together. A spaceship that uses vibrations to bend space and time. A temple where music becomes alive.

It was an honour to have the chance to play in this room for 11 hours to the most amazing group of humans. It's been a dream of mine for so many years to have the chance to play there and it's one of most meaningful moments I ever lived. Stars were aligned, the collective energy was truly beautiful and I am happy to be able to share with you the soundtrack of that night. 

Thanks to all the @stereonightclub team for the incredible work to co-create such a sacred space for music. 

A special thanks to Luc for the cosmic visuals during the night.

And thanks to all of you family and friends who joined the journey.

Amazing night full of good vibes and incredible music. Remember that this is a warm up set, so we were just creating a good atmosphere and vibe for the party. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did playing it to welcome the new year.

Warm up set for YokoO (All Day I Dream) @ Do Not Sit on the Furniture, Miami Beach, New Year's Eve

One my favourite moments from Burning Man was having the opportunity to play music from the Lucy S Cargo art car during sunrise. Already just biking in a gorilla onesie through the dust to find the glowing snail in the middle of the playa while the first signs of daylight were beginning to colour the sky was pretty surreal. @christianvoldstad played a beautiful set before I started around 6am while the sun was still hidden behind the mountains in the distance. A few friends, some small groups and solo burners danced on and around the car, others hung out in nearby art cars that had pulled up to listen, others climbed a nearby art installation, others pumped a fist while they biked passed. Ice cold Bloody Marys being served by our amazing hosts to any takers from the cutest little cart and the back of the snail.

By 6.30 or so the sun had started to peak over the horizon and within what seemed like a few minutes, had risen fully bringing the heat of a new day in the desert. Then right after me, my brother @koramusique took over with a masterful session that ended ushering Lucy over to the temple where the Black Rock Philharmonic was playing a special performance. Keep an eye and ear out for this special recording coming soon 👀 this was the beginning of an pretty epic day..

 It was my first Fusion, definitely not the last. One of the most inclusive, affordable, sustainable and badass events I had a chance to see. The level of creativity, the quality of sound systems, the absence of authority or security, yet the feeling of safety and community. An impressive and powerful sonic city that shows us how the world can be when we work for a greater purpose, together, with strong values. 

This set represents a lot for me, after quite an heart opening trip in Beirut, Lebanon right before Fusion, getting closer to the war opened my eyes to the energies, challenges and times we are living in, while being fuelled and inspired by the beautiful resilience of people. ❤️

The dancefloor as a revolution. Music as a way to heal. The community as a foundation to rebuild the world from the heart space. 🌍   Gratitude to the Sonnendeck crew for the invitation, to everyone who came to dance for the morning session, and big love to old and new friends who made this journey memorable.

After Midnight Air respire la douceur d’une nuit déjà bien installée.

Dans une atmosphère inspirée des univers Buddha Bar, Lounge et Chillout, le morceau s’ouvre sur des textures profondes et enveloppantes, portées par des percussions subtiles et un groove lent, presque hypnotique. L’air est chaud, feutré, chargé de mystère et de calme.

Puis, comme une lueur dans l’obscurité, le saxophone entre en scène. Sensuel et mélancolique, il trace des lignes élégantes qui flottent au-dessus du rythme, comme une conversation intime avec la nuit. Chaque note semble suspendue, vibrante, portée par le silence qui l’entoure.

Les basses profondes, les nappes aériennes et le souffle du sax créent un équilibre parfait entre relaxation et émotion, entre introspection et abandon.

After Midnight Air est une musique pour les heures tardives, lorsque le monde dort et que les pensées deviennent plus claires, plus sincères.

La nuit est douce.
Le temps s’efface.
Et le sax murmure dans l’air après minuit.
