Saiful Idris’ latest single, “First Light”, draws upon his predisposition towards deep, melodic, progressive house, and is the third in a series of deep progressive house releases, after “Undertow” and “Spitfire”. “First Light” is Saiful at his melodic best, with an arpeggiator synth topline that ebbs and flows before giving way to a soaring lead that enthrals and delights. Lay those over crisp percussive beats and a punchy, syncopated bassline, and you have a track that would enrich any progressive house set.
