Saiful Idris’ latest single, “First Light”, draws upon his predisposition towards deep, melodic, progressive house, and is the third in a series of deep progressive house releases, after “Undertow” and “Spitfire”. “First Light” is Saiful at his melodic best, with an arpeggiator synth topline that ebbs and flows before giving way to a soaring lead that enthrals and delights. Lay those over crisp percussive beats and a punchy, syncopated bassline, and you have a track that would enrich any progressive house set.

“The Cave” is a gritty throwback to the early dark room, progressive house sound championed by the likes of Deep Dish, Xpress II, Steve Lawler, Danny Tenaglia and more, with percussive elements and dark synths overlaying a relentless bassline and driving beats. During the breaks, Eileen Jaime brings a touch of sensuality to the lyrics, adding to the raw and visceral quality of the track. “Sunday Morning” marks the debut of Canadian and South African production duo, Individualist, on SRNDR Records and typifies their Afro-acoustic, deep house sound. The track is truly a meeting of worlds, with lush synths and electronic textures overlaying jazzy guitar licks, raw organic beats and a throbbing analog bassline. A track that would appeal for purveyors of the deeper end of the house spectrum and fans of Osunlade, Karizma, Jullian Gomes, Dennis Ferrer and the likes.

Individualist is an Afro-acoustic, deep house production duo based in Halle (Saale), Germany. Comprising Wayne from South Africa and Rob from Canada, the duo met by chance in front of the latter’s studio and decided to make electronic music together, before evolving into a proper live group and production duo. Their music is characterised by colourful, swinging house beats with deep roaring basses, earthy acoustic instruments and glitchy sonic landscapes - a culmination of Wayne’s deep roots in South African house music and Rob’s background in music studies and passion for raw analogue sounds. The beats and bass are created on an analog synth, while the guitars, keys, harmonica and vocals are recorded live, resulting in raw and honest house music with a decidedly indie aesthetic and a sound that is uniquely their own. Prolific producers, the duo have released dozens of tracks on various labels in Germany, Switzerland and the USA, including collaborations with the likes of FKA Mash and Tahir Jones.

Connor's SRNDR debut is a hard-hitter. Connor is a DJ and producer from Preston, United Kingdom, whose musical identity is very much shaped by his experiences in the legendary British clubs, raves and festivals of the early noughties, such as Gatecrasher, Cream, Bugged Out and many more. A versatile DJ, his repertoire ranges from soul, funk and house, to progressive house, techno and trance. Originally released in 2019, SRNDR label head Saiful Idris' 'Memories' is re-released with both a remix and a remake. Idris' Remembrance Mix is an update of the original, a song that is anchored on the themes of loss and heartbreak, with melancholic melodies that tug at the heartstrings and haunting vocals courtesy of Echoboyy (Los Angeles, USA). On remix duties is Turkish producer, Çağatay Can, whose version offers a deep and brooding melodic techno interpretation of the theme. Crack Jones' SRNDR debut,'Never Let Go', is a throwback to the classic funky tech-house sound, with a groovy yet gut-punching bassline, rolling percussions, chunky synths and vocals that never let up. Look out for the trippy bassline-driven break that culminates in a full-blown banging techno-esque mid section. 

Like many music lovers of his generation, Crack Jones' musical journey began with discovering music on Napster, which exposed him to and broadened his knowledge of the various genres of music. Paul van Dyk's trance classic, 'For An Angel', proved a particular inspiration, with its droning, hypnotic melodies striking a chord and drawing him into the world of electronic dance music. This led him to digging deeper into its various sub-genres, and eventually becoming a DJ and producer, championing the deeper and groovier side of house and tech-house and a sound that is decidedly original school. Despite graduating with two university degrees, Jones' enduring passion and love for dance music led to him becoming a full-time DJ and producer, and he is now a regular feature of the Toronto night scene. His productions harken back to the timeless aesthetics of classic electronic dance music, with warm, retro elements coupled with contemporary production values, creating a sound that occupies the sweet spot between futuristic and nostalgic.

Stranger Souma’s debut on SRNDR is a deep, melodic techno treat, with a percussive surprise that recalls the celebrated sounds of DJ Gregory and Julien Jabre. “All About Her” is a self-portrait, the first of a series of personal explorations into her identity and ontology. 

A native of Casablanca, Morocco, Stranger Souma’s musical journey started off with her learning to play multiple instruments. Enthralled by the advent and possibility of technology in music, she soon evolved into the respected DJ and producer that she is today, crafting a signature sound that is deep, minimal but decidedly soulful and spiritual, a tribute to the old soul of North Africa. Her influences are vast and varied, including Paul Kalkebrenner, Jeff Mills, Nicolas Jaar, Miss Kittin and more. Aside from being a DJ and producer, she is also co-founder of Moroccan-based record label, Volubilian Records, through which she actively champions the region's unique musical heritage, as well as greater opportunities for its female artists.

Originally released in 2019, SRNDR label head Saiful Idris' 'Memories' is re-released with both a remix and a remake. Idris' Remembrance Mix is an update of the original, a song that is anchored on the themes of loss and heartbreak, with melancholic melodies that tug at the heartstrings and haunting vocals courtesy of Echoboyy (Los Angeles, USA). On remix duties is Turkish producer, Çağatay Can, whose version offers a deep and brooding melodic techno interpretation of the theme. Along with the full acapella, this is a release that will surely appeal to DJs and music lovers across the different sub-genres of house music.

A guaranteed floor-filler, 'Superfly' demonstrates Grönlund's keen sensibility and artistry as both a DJ and producer to seamlessly bring together the old-school tech-house and classic, soulful disco sounds. Driven by chunky percussive beats and a languid but groovy bassline, the track is chock-full of carefully curated elements that will lift spirits and hands, not least a vocal hook that is as feelgood and uplifting as they come.

Filip Grönlund's musical journey started at home in Stockholm, Sweden. The son of classical musicians, Grönlund grew up listening to his mother's disco records and was mesmerised by the soulful vocals of the disco divas of the 70's and 80's. His love for soul, funk and disco music led to him discovering house music during the late 90's and early 00's, and eventually becoming a DJ. Inspired by producers such as Mark Knight, Paul Woolford and Marc Kinchen, and with a good sense for what works on the dancefloor, Grönlund produces tracks that steer in the direction of house, deep house and tech house, with an unmistakable predisposition towards the original school. His productions are characterised by driving beats, thoughtful melodies and soulful elements that harken back to a time when disco reigned supreme.

“Brotherhood”, is a progressive house tune that features a driving rhythm section and is led by a euphonious guitar topline. Add to those tastefully curated blares, textures and synth arpeggiators and you get a melodic journey that celebrates the sounds of early trance and progressive house.

Hailing from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Jonathan Touch is a DJ and producer who began writing music in 2009 as one half of the Holyboyz, producing a discography of tech house and progressive house tunes. A music graduate, he has been honing craft for over a decade, bringing his music to China and across Russia, and regularly organising open air dance parties back home. Since going solo in 2017, his music has been released on labels from Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom, before joining the SRNDR Records family.
