Missing in America is a song originally written & performed by the college rock band Shadowbox in Greenville, NC, 1989-1991 / ECU, which would perform at Omars, the New Deli, Flamingos, The Fizz, private parties, and The Attic! 

We dedicate this song to our late Shadowbox guitarist Eric "Rick" Bailey, aka Cat Daddy (1968-2018).  Rick wrote and performed the original guitar tracks three decades back.

Shadowbox would open live shows with Missing in America, which also received college radio play at NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Wilmington, and WZMB at East Carolina University.

MIA was the first track on the band's demo tape recorded and produced (and recovered in more recent years) by Todd G. Lovett, who still owes Bill dinner over a bet he lost.

We are very grateful to everyone who helped bring this song new life in 2023 and hope you enjoy it.  Some would say this is a psychedelic, punk rock, prog-rock original song.
