I met this Londoner in Marseille, who had played at one time, as a replacement, and as a guitarist, for the group The Jesus and Mary Chain, I was doing sound at home as usual, we were neighbors... he was a little down at the time, a little lost, he was hallucinating about my lifestyle. He came to hang out at my house. I mixed my compositions by playing them live with my op1 which I loved and which I had ordered in 2012… I diverted it a little from its usual style of music… we made a few tracks together which we played in London in May 2015. I loved it. In the subway, I met the Whoopi Goldberg lookalike, I had the wrong day pass, as I was panicking because we were going to do a concert, she told me not to worry: “hey, honey, stop to be sorry, honey, it's only money'“ so, I started humming the chorus of this song while I was in the train of the wagon...

Stop to be sorry Honey

I composed this track in August 2017, with all the sensuality of Eastern European romanticism. For the vocal part, it's super cinematographic, I use the references of Under the Volcano, an American film directed by John Huston, inspired by the famous novel Under the Volcano by British writer Malcolm Lowry. Jacqueline Bisset, Yvonne  just wonderful. I was in love with a boy  nicknamed boychik, his first name identical to my Ukrainian grandfather deported to Treblinka. Adopted., he had to flee Crimea during the White Russian revolution in 11917. My lyrics also allude to Natalie Wood, whose real name was Anna Maria Pierangeli. Natalie  was James Dean's first love, and found drowned off the coast of Catalina Island, after arguing with Robert Wagner, one night in November 1981. It's also a song about the ravages of Hollywood and  tragic consequences of the love passion which binds between a man and a woman

It's a track from my very first album under my second label “evajeanneproject” which I operate on bandcamp, it was released in June 2013. For this track I thought too much about the melodies of the Doors, and of course Marilyn Monroe. For the bounce, I used the audio export on freeware and worked on it as if I were scratching it on a vinyl turntable.

NO WAY

1998 polymorphic laziness, scratches on turntables, mixed on Cubase. Very "old-fashioned" methods for creating sound were techniques where "you put your hands to the work"! this title dates from before the 2000s! I love it! I do everything alone, as usual as a woman acting on my own, I don't expect anything from anyone! otherwise I wouldn't have produced anything! I do everything at once!
