This is the first song I've released in about two years and even then, I'm still a little self conscious about it. I believe it's "good enough" but I also believe you can hear the apprehension in the track. I was just going through a lot, some bad and others good, and the more I had to put music to the way side the more my confidence kept slipping away. Eventually I noticed that all I was doing was making demos. I wasn't committing to anything. So this is my effort of re-entry back into the music industry. I hope you like it.

It's been a couple years, and like everyone else I've gone through a lot. I don't have a ton of fans, but the ones I do have I felt an obligation to provide a collection of tracks instead of just a single release. To let you (you're definitely a fan if you're reading this), and them, know that I'm still here. I'm back, and I'm coming with a new perspective, a new drive, and with new force. These tracks are Demos (as all my soundcloud posts are) so be sure to follow on other music platforms for the official release later this year and they're obviously subject to change for better, or for worse.
I wanted to play around with certain textures in my voice in recording this. You might notice that in OD I'm subtle with it and in BM it's more dramatic. LME is just a love letter to the beloved genre, I didn't want to do anything but give you at least one track that's repeatable and that I know metalcore fans will love. Fun fact! This is the first songs I've ever recorded on analog hardware that I own. So all initial stages of EQ, compression, mic pres, etc is what all of you are hearing and my buddy Jeremiah Culver who mixed and mastered the track (seriously, he's a powerhouse. We've done other music together that you can find on my CTS channel) complimented on the quality of them when the multitracks were delivered. So guess that means I'm doing something pretty alright.
As far as themes and emotion goes, you'll notice the EP is hovering around inner truth, inner self, and vulnerability just in a simple general sense. I learned about masking and not only did it break some of my reality (which is where most of my PTSD from the Navy comes from), it was also fucking vindicating. I immediately went into therapy and was diagnosed with some disorders that I'm not ashamed of, however now that's an entire avenue that I have to figure out for myself and how it impacts my navigation of life so I won't speak on it until I'm more educated. 
From Long Way Down that was released in 2023? 2022? I was starting from an absolute zero base of a mental, emotional, and physical journey that has now turned into me having the confidence to release a 3 song work. I've been incredibly busy and have so much in the pipeline I wish I could just give everyone everything tomorrow. But alas, things take time. And in this meantime, from mosh bangers to ballad belters, fucking enjoy.

A lot went into this song. From recording in my car sweating my ass off into my laptop, from finding a hip hop studio willing to record metal at midnight and almost having a shooting right outside it's doors. To get this song completed was almost a trial. Which ironically actually plays into the kind of "life trial" we go through whenever we face our demons. "The Baron" is about overcoming that addiction you have. whether it be drugs, alcohol, food, sex, whatever it is, it's a confession. The graphic is an allegory to the message of the song. On the King's head, the crown reads "my truth is to lie" and the bottle reads "medicine". We think self medicating is a way of healing and the harsh truth is that it isn't. Plain and simple. So come to terms with yourself, sing along to this track, and face your shortcomings as this song is meant for you to belt out to and sing your pain out to the universe so you can heal. #SOS
