In December 1997, I was 5 years old, staying with relatives for New Year, and we played the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee for one afternoon. I never saw it again during my childhood, but I never forgot its incredible world, or Abe himself.
17 years later, Oddworld New 'N' Tasty came out and I was introduced to the franchise properly. I wrote a fansong called 'Light of the Moon' based on the Oddworld lore... but unfortunately it was not my best work. 7 more years went by, and then Oddworld: Soulstorm finally released and it blew my mind. Thus, I brought out my old song and reworked it into something I could be proud of.

Susie thought she was done writing Oddworld fansongs. Susie was wrong.

Abe goes through so much in such a short time, he must be totally exhausted by the end of Soulstorm. I decided to write him a lullaby to help soothe him to sleep. Featuring a leitmotif literally made up of his name.
