Be Me was written and produced in Kaikoura, New Zealand – between ocean air, cold mornings and a lot of honest conversations about who I actually want to be as an artist.

The idea is simple: “be me.”
The track is driving and progressive, but not aggressive. It’s melodic but minimal. It moves forward without shouting. The feminine vocal textures are like a human pulse inside the synths – soft, supportive, comforting.

The structure is about trust:
– a slow build
– release into space
– a break that breathes
– and then a dry drop that comes back clear and unapologetic.

This track wouldn’t exist without a close friend who pushed me to experiment, to learn Ableton in my own way, and to not hide behind other people’s templates. A lot of the DNA of this song is literally voice notes, late night tips, and sometimes “no tips at all” so that I had to find my own answers.

I’m releasing this as part of my journey as Eloquendo – melodic techno / progressive house, cinematic energy, emotional but still club-oriented. This is me claiming my lane.

Gonzalo Villarreal is back for his 3rd appearance on the Mood Series. After his previous two EP's, we couldn't be happier to hear what he's been up to and get some new output from him. 'Trascendalia' offers 4 pieces of strong techno that ebb and flow while perfectly balance catchy, addictive yet distinctive and dancefloor directed. 'Dhammacor Ascendance' is a techy dub gem. The broken almost electro beat really shines inside these chords that ride and build. 'Synaptic Alchemy (V1)' unique chord work is something to behold. If you are after dub techno that rises but also changes directions, then check out this piece. V2 of this track offers a bit more streamlined version while still really honing in on the hook of the track. Either way, both version are epic! 'Zenithian Awakening' is a wonderful way to close this EP out. A beautiful and soothing ride, this is a fine example of the future of the genre through Gonzalo's eye. To close these masterful pieces with this amazing ending really ties the EP for long replays and plenty of listening time. One thing Greyscale looks for pushing the boundaries is a different color and timber to the evolution of the style. This isn't your ordinary dub techno. Check this out! "Naissance Musik returns with its fourth release this June, a remix package of the label’s 2018 released HEAR & San Proper ‘Elephantoms’ EP, featuring interpreations from Ohm Hourani & HEAR, Julie Marghiliano, Andrea Ferlin and 3LIAS & Raphael Merheb.

For the remix package the label welcomed an array of talented producers who are all acclaimed DJ’s, with the aim to bring a more dance floor oriented feel to the package in contrast to the more abstract, ethereal feel of the original release.

Ohm Hourani & label-head HEAR’s take on ‘The Groin’ opens the package, bringing a bumpy drum groove, glitched out electronics and choppy bass stabs into the limelight alongside mutterings of the original’s vocals from San Proper and psychedelic guitar licks. Sol Asylum’s Julie Marghiliano steps up next with her ‘Break 4 Rave Remix’ of ‘Macha Moves, as the name would suggest laying focus on gritty broken drums and the original’s bumpy, rave tinged bass while stirring in hypnotic synth textures to flow within the groove.

Sleep Is Commercial’s Andrea Ferlin then rework’s ‘Up The Hill’ to open the flip-side, taking things in a more refined direction courtesy of billowing pads, intricately modulating percussion, robust low end and subtle nuances throughout. Beirut’s 3LIAS & Raphael Merheb then round out the release with their remix of ‘Macha Moves’, stripping back the feel of the original with dynamic organic percussion, circling bass swells, murky dub stabs and an ever-unfolding rhythmic drive."
