SUSTENTION - Kompromisslos Podcast [KPML005]

For our 39th podcast, we're thrilled to feature Hamburg's latest scene sensation. Hailing from southern Germany, he's a fixture at urzeiger collective events, consistently delivering performances fueled by passion. With a history of supporting local scenes, he's now a key member of the Grauzone collective, which is based in Tübingen. Now a Hamburg resident, he remains dedicated to supporting the local scene and looks forward to exciting collaborations ahead. Influenced by late '90s and early 2000s tribal techno, his sound combines selected Hardgroove and Funk techno tracks, creating a rhythm that moves your body.

Nous sommes plus que ravis d'accueillir notre cher ami Sustention pour notre 44e podcast. Sustention est un DJ et producteur de techno basé à Hambourg, originaire du sud de l'Allemagne. Dès son plus jeune âge, il a été profondément immergé dans la musique, jouant du piano et de la batterie aux côtés de ses six frères et sœurs, tous musiciens. Cette exposition précoce à un environnement musical riche l’a conduit à commencer à produire de la musique à l'âge de 14 ans. Attiré initialement par le Dubstep et le Drum and Bass, il s'est ensuite tourné vers la Techno vers l'âge de 16 ans. Son frère, Introversion, a été une source d'inspiration majeure tout au long de son parcours musical. Commençant par un style inspiré des rave, le son de Sustention a évolué pour devenir un mélange unique de techno tribale et groovy, tout en conservant des éléments de ses origines rave et trance. Sa première sortie sur le label KONFLKT comprenait trois morceaux originaux, ainsi qu’un remix d'Introversion. En tant que membre du collectif Urzeiger dans le sud de l'Allemagne, Sustention a joué lors de nombreux événements, notamment un set mémorable aux côtés de son frère, Introversion. Depuis juillet 2022, il est résident de la série d’événements Grauzone, renforçant ainsi sa présence sur la scène techno.

We’re more than pleased to welcome our dear friend Sustention for our 44th Podcast. Sustention is a Hamburg-based Techno DJ and Producer, originally from southern Germany. From a young age, he was deeply immersed in music, playing piano and drums alongside his six musically inclined siblings. This early exposure to a rich musical environment led him to begin producing music at the age of 14. Initially drawn to Dubstep and Drum and Bass, he later shifted his focus to Techno around the age of 16. Sustention's brother, Introversion, has been a significant source of inspiration throughout his musical journey. Starting with a rave-inspired style, Sustention's sound has since evolved into a unique blend of tribal and groove-infused techno, while still retaining elements of its rave and trance origins. His debut release on the KONFLKT label featured three original tracks, along with a remix by Introversion. As a member of the Urzeiger collective in southern Germany, Sustention has performed at numerous events, including a memorable set alongside his brother, Introversion. Since July 2022, he has held a residency with the Grauzone Event Series, further establishing his presence in the techno scene.
