SUTIL RECORDS begin the New Year with their 35th release and an exciting new concept, 'SUTIL BEATS: SHAPES & FLAVOURS’. The label has a superb collection of tracks waiting in the wings, and their first release of 2014 sets the standard high. 'SUTIL BEATS: SHAPES & FLAVOURS, VOL. 1' features four original tracks from three artists, and the best in underground tech house.

The concept behind this new adventure is to break away from the rigid format of original track with remixes, and create a series of releases featuring diverse artists, and everything from full vocal projects to tracks and DJ tools. Expect cool beats, exciting musical shapes and tasty flavours from a new series where producers will have the space to try something different.

The inaugural release opens with ‘ESTUPENDIO’ by DUDU. Already well-known for his releases on labels like LA FACTORIA and STUPENDO RECORDS, DUDU is a master when it comes to grooves as ‘ESTUPENDIO’ proves. This is hypnotic percussive house at its best, full of subtle shifts in sound and trippy effects. 

DAVID CADENAS is next with two tracks, ‘SOUND OF YETI’ and ‘DAVID’S THINGS’. CADENAS was responsible for the last release on SUTIL RECORDS, the ‘SOUND LESSON’ EP, and the Zamora-based producer continues in the same infectiously funky style with ‘SOUND OF YETI’. Based around skippy beats and stripped back to the essential ingredients, the pressure builds as the track progresses to devastating effect. ‘DAVID’S THINGS’ is equally funky, meanwhile, but with a tougher, techno edge and a groove to die for.

Rounding off 'SUTIL BEATS: SHAPES & FLAVOURS, VOL. 1' is ‘SHOW ME’ by CAPO & COMES from Banyoles in Catalonia. There’s a touch of breakbeat to the rhythm here with distorted vocals and freaky percussion completing the picture. A fine package all round with different styles and moods to suit a wide range of dancefloors… and this is just the beginning.

The artist comes from Portugal this time... a country influenced by classic names like Dj VIBE or the 'Tribe/Tech-Master' DANNY TENAGLIA, by labels as TWISTED, and all the Classic Tribal &amp; Progressive Stuff. 
 
ERIC FARIA started to get interested on Rob Di Stefano's well-respected TWISTED label in the mid-nineties. His first track with the singer Marlene Rhod's, was released on KAOS Records (Portugal), reaching the top of Dancefull (Portuguese Digital Store). Counting with more than one hundred releases, including his first Album 'Play My Life', Eric Faria presents 'Perfect Girl' with Marlene Rhod's &amp; MC Y2k on Sutil Vox. 
 
MARLENE RHOD's, daughter of a Musician, influenced by ARETHA FRANKLIN, GEORGE BENSON, ERYKAH BADU, among others... After several Musical projects, she teamed up with Eric Faria in 2009, releasing their first track 'High To Survive'. Her voice is the biggest responsible for SUTIL VOX showing interest on this song. 
 
MC Y2k walked into the scene in 2000. His amazing improvisation skills made him famous on the streets. He was invited to Hip-Hop battles at local Bars and Clubs very soon, becoming the 'King of the Arena', and winning every contest and award. 
By the end of 2009, he got into the 'House Music World', where one of his projects reached the Top of the charts. The latest (but not less important) of this SUTIL VOX package!

The original mix of ROBERT MORR & ALEX TOJAR's 'EVERYBODY F*CK!!' on SUTIL VOX was one hell of a Big Room summer anthem, so it would be rude not to give it the remix treatment. Step forward, RAPHA DI SANDS, another emerging name on the Spanish House scene. At just 21 years old, is already making a name for himself with his progressive-flavoured productions, and was snapped up by SUTIL to work his magic on this project. He's done just that with a version which keeps all the energy and impact of the original, but with an extra layer of melody to give the track an uplifting, positive vibe.

To complement and contrast, there’s also a Dubstep mix from AGGRESIVNES, another talented young producer from Spain. He turns 'EVERYBODY F*CK!!' into a full-on electro epic which breaks down into a trance-like interlude with piano accompaniment before going crazy again. The original has been remastered to complete an impressive package, and guaranteed winter warmer.package, and guaranteed winter warmer.
