The trees are swaying calmly in this balmy breeze.

The heat today was challenging, but as our burning star begins to hide for the night, temperatures return to a milder range. Fireflies start to swarm around you and cicadas are chirping in the distance. Feels good to be out of the city for once.

The asphalt jungle chased you away with its shimmering streets and emetic green bins and you’ve found refuge in the lush and lazy countryside. Among trees and meadows you wind down from the stress that comes with a modern life.

But hey! 
One of those birch trees doesn’t quite fit with the rest. 
And with a closer look you realise: 
It’s DJ BIRCH, swaying with the rest of the white barked giants, creaking as she moves from side to side. You decide to approach her and as you get within a few feet, the creaking turns into a rhythm that makes you sway as well.

And so you all sway through the night until the big red burning star shows herself again behind a hill.

Oh guys, what an afternoon and evening at the Porto Pollo Opening on the banks of the Danube in Vienna! We let the sun shine on our bellies and danced. But guys, I tell you, it was a battle against technology! The Pioneer 850 just didn't understand my music and the track display was apparently also on holiday  and no monitor. And as if that wasn't enough, one of the players also had a broken cable, so some tracks sounded a bit overdriven and weird.
But you know what? It was still great fun playing on these cdjs like with records like in the old days and fly through the music universe with 4 to the floor. I mean, who needs perfect technology when you have good moods and good beats? Anyway, we danced and sunbathed for more than 6 hours, I'm looking forward to next time !

Ein 100% Italo-Disco-Mix - speziell für den antik-mediterran thematisierten Infopoint auf dem Festival "Plötzlich am Meer" 2016. Ein wackliges Set Up mit ausgelutschten Plattenspielern und bei jeder Gelegenheit umherspringenden Nadeln machten die Premiere zur Schlitterpartie. Übergänge sauber und geplant hinzubekommen war diffizil, doch ich liebe die Auswahl viel zu sehr, um diesen Mix mit einigen meiner Lieblings-Italo-Hymnen nicht mit Euch zu teilen. Allora prego!!!

Preparing transitions felt like walking on thin ice (and cracking it more than once), but I steadily regained some control and still want to share this killer list with some of my Italo favorites with you.
