ਦੇਵਗੰਧਾਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ 
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਹੀਐ ॥ 
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਸਿਧਿ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ 
ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਚਲੁ ਗਹੀਐ ॥ 
ਆਂਚ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਸਰਨਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਅਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ 
ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧ ਮਹਾ ਅਕ੍ਰਿਤਘਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਹੀਐ ॥ 
ਕਰੁਣਾ ਮੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਨਹੀਐ ॥੨॥
Offer your prayer to your Lord. You shall obtain all the blessings, and the treasures of bliss, pleasure, peace, poise and the spiritual powers of the Siddhas. Renounce your self-conceit, and grasp hold of the Guru's feet; hold tight to the hem of God's robe. The heat of the ocean of fire does not affect one who longs for the Lord and Master's Sanctuary. Again and again, God puts up with the millions of sins of the ungrateful ones. The embodiment of mercy, the Perfect Transcendent Lord - Nanak longs for His Sanctuary.

Those who chant Your Praises, through the Guru's Teachings, have great good fortune recorded upon their foreheads. ||1||Pause||

ਟੂਟੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਫਾਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥
Ttoottae Maaeiaa Kae Bandhhan Faahae Har Raam Naam Liv Laagae ||
The bonds and shackles of Maya are shattered, by lovingly focusing their minds on the Name of the Lord.

ਹਮਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਮੋਹਨਿ ਹਮ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਈ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੧॥
Hamaraa Man Mohiou Gur Mohan Ham Bisam Bhee Mukh Laagae ||1||
My mind is enticed by the Guru, the Enticer; beholding Him, I am wonder-struck. ||1||

ਸਗਲੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਸੋਈ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਕਿੰਚਤ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾਗੇ ॥
Sagalee Rain Soee Andhhiaaree Gur Kinchath Kirapaa Jaagae ||
I slept through the entire dark night of my life, but through the tiniest bit of the Guru's Grace, I have been awakened.
