Coach. Author. World Traveler. I have been many other things in this lifetime as well. Perhaps my best ability has been to motivate people through uncovering certain truths the universe has to offer.

I started improving my body when I was 12 years old. I would come home from school and exercise every day without fail with small cement weight equipment. I mostly bench pressed, did bicep curls, and ran sprints. Arnold Schwarzenegger was my hero.

At the age of 20 I started improving my mind. I read everything I could get my hands on. History was my favorite subject and I found the World Wars absolutely fascinating. Then I started reading all of the classic authors - Poe, Melville, Dumas, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Hemingway, Whitman, Cervantes, Dickens, Twain, Wilde, Fitzgerald, Kipling, Orwell, Salinger, Faulkner, Thoreau, Kafka, and Kurt Vonnegut. While this contributed greatly to the construct of my mind, something was lacking, and I started to realize the mind can never make up for what the spirit craves.

At the age of 28 I started working on my spirit. Reading Eckhart Tolle, Don Miguel Ruiz, Viktor Frankl, and others as well as listening to Ram Dass and going on meditation retreats expanded knowledge I already had and unlocked new understanding of who I truly wanted to be, how I truly wanted to act towards others, and who I truly wanted around me on a day to day basis.

Now at the age of 38, I have found an extreme love for writing. I love fiction, especially science fiction, but my talents reside in writing non-fiction mainly dealing with the body or the mind.

I've been an employee, a business owner, a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, a best man, an author, a confidant, a mentor, a leader, and sometimes a follower. I try to make my opinions as unbiased as possible, but if I am recommending something, that knowledge has come from life experience. While every person is not for everybody, my hope is that you find something I have to say that resonates with you. If it does, pass it along to those you love, this world can never have enough of a good message.

Marinade for Steak, Cabbage or Mushroom
1 ½-inch piece ginger, peeled, finely chopped
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon fish sauce
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 Cloves, Minced Garlic
¼ cup olive oil
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
¾ pound filet mignon steaks, 1 inch thick (4)
Himalayan Salt

DRESSING
¼ cup fresh lime juice
¼ cup hot chili paste 
¼ cup peanut oil or sunflower oil
2 tablespoons fish sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
Himalayan Salt

SALAD AND ASSEMBLY
2 ounces dried ramen or lo mein noodles
Himalayan Salt
½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 large mango, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ bunch arugula, stems removed, leaves torn
½ bunch watercress, tough stems removed
2 medium carrots, finely shredded on a mandoline or a box grater
2 scallions, chopped
2 cups finely shredded savoy cabbage
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 avocado, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ cup chopped cilantro
½ cup torn basil leaves
¼ cup torn mint leaves
¼ cup crumbled toasted unsweetened coconut flakes
¼ cup finely chopped salted, roasted peanuts, plus more for serving
 8 Lime wedges (1/4 each)

We are transitioning through summer + winter. The yin (water) and yang (fire) energy on planet earth are fully activated. As the climax of this season continues to offer its power to incubate and create...the VEILS are DROPPING. I invite all my brothers and sisters to take a soft gentle dance with the divine melody that flows from your soul. Notice and observe where the lies and truths are revealed from within you. These awarenesses will assist you in this upcoming lunar cycle as you being to bare witness both in obtuse juxtaposition in the world around you. No one is exempt in this moment of great reveal.

Mango Lassi

Ingredients
	1 cup chopped very ripe mango 
	1 cup plain greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
	1/2 cup coconut milk (or coconut water)
	4 teaspoons honey or coconut sugar, more or less to taste
	Pinch ground cardamom and cinnamon
        1 sprig of fresh mint
        1/4 cup fresh or dried coconut flesh

Instructions:
         1. Blend. Enjoy.

Quinoa Cocoa Bars	
	4 dates, pitted
	1 cup slow cook, whole rolled oats
	3/4 cup uncooked quinoa
	1/2 cup sunflower seeds
	1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
	1/2 cup almond butter
	1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
         1/4 cup cocoa powder
	1 teaspoon vanilla extract
	1/4 teaspoon himalayan salt
         To taste of Cardamom and Cinnamon 
Topping
         1/4 cup cocoa chocolate melted with 1 tablespoon coconut or raw sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 300°F (149°C). Line an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or well oiled. Extend the parchment paper enough overhang on the sides to easily remove the bars from the pan. Set aside.
2.Pulse the dates in a blender or food processor until they form a chunky paste. Add the remaining bar ingredients to the blender or processor. Blend.
3.Transfer mixture into the pan and press very firmly into an even layer. Pack tightly. 
4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on the edges. 
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack.
5. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill for 1 more hour. This firms up the bars which helps them stay together.
6. Remove bars from the pan using the overhang on the sides and cut into bars or simply flip and tap the bottom of the pan. 
7. Melt chocolate topping in warm water (double boil).
8. Drizzle on the topping.

Painting is a love of mine that was passed down from my grandmother Evelyn, an award winning watercolorist

I remember sitting at the table with her while she taught us grandkids how to paint. The smells, the textures, and the awe of watching color turn to life in front of you.

Rainbow Spring Summer Roll
Ingredients:
3 carrots, shredded
1 Cup purple cabbage, shredded
2 English cucumbers, peeled and thin slices, lengthwise
1/2 Cup Red + Yellow Peppers, sliced
1/4 Cup Blue Potato Roasted, Sliced
4 oz. (125 g) thin dried rice noodles, prepared according to the package instructions
1/2 Cup Diced Cherry Tomatoes

5-8 large round rice papers

1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar

Juice of (1) Lemon

Instructions:
1. Place ingredients a bowl. 
2. Blend.
3. Pour into a jar.
4. Take a small amount an apply to your face.
5. Let set for 10-20 minutes.
6. Rinse and apply face oil or cream.
