I was reading Chaucer's The Wife of Bath and, like any musician-turned-engish-major would do - gave her a new voice through song.

The Wife Of Bath's Real Prologue (Original)

Written after reading Paradise Lost and wondering how different it would be if people actually followed the first version of Creation where Adam and Eve were created at the same time instead of her being born from his rib. Adam spends his whole time ordering Eve around and making her feel inferior, Eve even says in PL that she ate the apple in order to be equal with Adam.

Eve's Lament

My teacher asked for one of the musicians in her class to make this an actual song for her. I hate the subject matter, but damn if that isn't some nicely flowing poetry.

The lyrics are John Donne's 'Song':
