“Mama’s House, Daddy’s House” is a modern family tale written by Peruvian-born actor, teaching artist, children’s musician and writer Albert Iturregui-Elias, along with his son Sebastian at age 5 (2004) to provide a positive model for children who divide their time between two homes. The story is told through young Sebastian’s voice using Haiku. In the story we learn how each home is unique and special to him, and that he feels very loved. “Two homes = One Heart Filled with Love.”

The story was later developed into a song by Sebastian’s Mom, singer/songwriter Suzi Shelton along with her producer Dan Siegler for their award-winning family album No Ordinary Day (2008). The song has just recently been re-imagined, re-recorded and reproduced by Greg Mayo and Dan Weiner with a fresh new sound and features the sweet voice of Sebastian’s youngest sister, Julia (age 7).

Award-winning indie children’s recording artist and YouTube star for the little ones Suzi Shelton announces the release of a brand new summer single entitled “Beach Day,” which lands just in time for your “bathing suit/barefeet” days on Wednesday, June 21st (the official first day of summer). Inspired by Suzi’s love of spending time at the beach with her family, this catchy song of the summer is filled with breezy, sun-soaked synths and relaxing sounds that fit together in perfect harmony with its beachy-pop groove. Gather your flip flops and open up that sunroof because, “It’s time to hit the beach!”

“Beach Day” is produced by Dan Weiner and Greg Mayo, who produced her latest series of singles including “Mama’s House, Daddy’s House,” (2022) “Party Monsters” (2021) featuring social justice artist Fyütch, and “Magnolia Tree” (2021), along with her latest award-winning full length album ‘Hand in Hand’ (2008). With each new single, they continue to lift Suzi’s energetic style to new heights.

Suzi Shelton is an award winning singer/songwriter for kids. Suzi and her band have performed in such prestigious venues including Lollapalooza, The White House, Symphony Space, Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting, and the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC to name a few.  Suzi is best known for her pop song "Raindrop," frequently heard on Sirius XM Kids Place Live, her crowd pleasing "fist pumping" songs like "Goin' On A Road Trip," and "Go, Fire Truck Go," as well as her more folk inspired lovely rendition of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." 

Suzi is currently branching out into the online kindie world with her weekly video series on YouTube and is looking for television and web series possibilities to bring her original music and style to a larger market.
